Designers - Where to buy stock graphics
Hey I wanted to try to roll my own banner and logo and I am looking at some stock photo sites on the net, I cant believe they are asking like 250 bucks and up for a single photograph.
Where is a good place to buy stock photos? |
Prices tend to vary depending on what you are looking for. I have seen some asking higher then what you mentioned, and some as low as $50.00.
Are you looking for simple graphics for design elements? Or are you looking for images in regards to people/models/faces along those lines? |

istockphoto.com
And yes, image, video, vector, & audio stock is expensive. I typically will easily spend $500 of my own studio's money on a client's project for stock. |

Wow getting the picture that they are expensive, I understand I guess.
But thanks a bunch Ditosta for that link, those are some pretty reasonable prices. I am putting together an adult dating site and I have some placeholder graphics on there that I don't have rights to. The unfinished site is starting to get hits (I'm a noob with design and implementation so I've been working on it for a loooong time) and I want to be as legit as possible. |

Once was on stage in front of an audience. |
most of the stock sites works with credits, where each credit costs $1. For small images (as if for banners) they usually go for $15 or so
