at least DDF heard the outcry at $4 and lowered it to $2..

But DP is standing strong and saying they are "incurring bank fees" and will now charge $20 for epass...an $18 profit...

We did just change our policy to a $20 fee for epass. due to excessive bank fees that we've been incurring.
The site will reflect the same in the sign up form shortly.

A number of affiliates have switched to pay by check for this reason.

Yeah, I received that DDF email last week and was surprised there was not more GFY outrage to be frank. I did see it mentioned a few other places.

I think it's a taste of things to come.

They're idiots. If 1 webmaster who rakes in like, 2k a month with them decides to leave then they've lost ALL of the extra money they're getting from 'bank fees'.

I fucking hate going to the bank, but I wouldnt drop them because of it. But if they are bleeding money from epass bank fees then I would suspect there are more problems than that.

Well,i signup once to that program,and no matter what i way trying,i was not able to login even with lost password function so had to drop them.Looks like that error was handy.

Definitely a different way of doing things. I for one know I'd rather pay a WM via ePass than cutting a check. And by the time you add up all the costs associated with checks, you've just spent more than the ePass fee.

Doesn't seem like the best way to handle it. Why not just say they'll no longer be offering epass at all? And if they have established, trusted affiliates using epass they should make exceptions for them because the $20 fee is crazy.

Maybe they recently got slammed with fraud and this is the reaction...

I always though epass was cheaper to pay than via check. Not sure why they want to ditch epass.

I like checks because it is typically the only free option. It usually takes no more than 5-7 days to get to me. I leave the house on a regular basis, I go through the bank drive through once a week or so which takes me a whole 5 minutes. I deposit the checks. wow thats hard..

Now if a company is willing to send me a wire for free, i'll be glad to accept it. But I think you have to be an idiot to pay $20 - $30 to receive your money. Do the math, even if it is bi weekly, that is still 26 times a year. Now say you promote 5 different companies. I don't care how much you make if you want to piss away $2,000 - $3,000 a year in just fees so you can collect your money a couple days earlier, then you are an idiot. I don't know how hard it is to cash checks in other countries, I am speaking as someone living in the US. It is rather simple here. open mail box. open enevelope, next time i pass the bank (which is almost every other day) spend a couple minutes in drive though, deposit check, save a couple thousand dollars. Doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
