UCJ Stats - wtf?
 

Ok i check my daily stats ...

it says 2596 clicks for the day so far

now i hit refresh stats ...

now it says 1928 clicks for the day so far.


Im positive im not looking at hourly stats, so whats going on?

Did you refresh at the top of the hour? You should slowly see it start to climb now.

no actually i was away at dinner ...


umm, dunno when i hit refresh, but again im looking at daily stats, not hourly stats ... why would it go down no matter when i hit it?

i mean the hits registered, then i hit refresh and its gone .... surely im not the only one hitting refresh, does anyone else notice this at all?

Don't UCJ hits drop off after 24 hours? So, if you refresh, the first hour would drop off and the just-passed hour would be added. If the first hour that got dropped had more hits than the current hout, your stats would go down.

No its not shaving. Im telling you. And pay attention this time.

At the top of the hour, according to your server time / script time, check your stats. Make a note of the stats. Over the next hour, watch it steadily change, steadily climbing upward. When the top of the hour hits again, it will drop. Just do it.

I am no UCJ expert, and I never asked Tim about it, but my guess is something resets at the top of the hour and UCJ spends the next hour estimating based upon whats coming in. Ya think? Sound plausible?
