CMS's that are easy to integrate with NATS
Hey guys. So far I know of three scripts that claim to be NATS ready or easy to integrate,
Carma (of course) ElevatedX SmartTubePro (I think that's the one, pardon me if my spelling is off) For my personal edjamacation can anyone help fill me in on other scripts that can be added to a NATS program for billing, member management and affiliate commission tracking? I am interested in scripts that have this capability straight out of the box or that can be integrated by the original developers for say, less than $300 extra. I don't care if its a Content CMS's, tube script, or dating script, I am interested in all of the above. Thanks. |
Check out Paysite CMS "PaysitePHP" from IndustryScripts.com

As far as I know nats can be used with any script.
So I would just worry more about what the best solution is for your project instead of tracking. |

Who would I talk to about getting it to work? |

Yeah thanks. I was actually hoping for a specific recommendation.

NATS isn't worried what your members areas consist of. There are a few tie ins for login tracking, etc., but in general your members areas/content are totally separate from your NATS install.
Therefore, any CMS solution would be fine. Look for the one that will fit your needs & budge the best, and provide the type of support you require. We recommend ours of course :) |
Check out http://content.adultcentro.com you can get site ready with content, and it plugs and plays with Nats nicely.

Good luck getting info about scripts.

X2K Media Suite can be integrated easily with any affiliate script, feel free to contact me for more info...

So scripts that cannot create and modify users by a simple postback url but need user info inserted into a mysql database obviously need special attention that is beyond the abilities of people who don't dedicate their lives to writing code fulltime. Am I wrong? |
I see we're already on your list of CMS systems to look at. Our software powers thousands of successful pay sites that use NATS :thumbsup
There's zero integration needed. Our automated tours, member's areas, mobile sites and FHG generator all work with NATS out of the box with no coding required. Feel free to contact me directly and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have, NATS integration related or otherwise. AJ |

If you wanted to post user information to your CMS for reasons other than that it could be achieved with the NATS postbacks. In normal cases however, this wouldn't be needed as your authentication should be outside of your CMS and directly off the NATS db. |
I know Oystein has also popped in this thread, but I'd like to extend the offer to show you our CMS product MAS. It works well with NATS or any other affiliate tracking system. :thumbsup

With the exception of our free trial/limited trial setup nothing gets inserted into the CMS. For almost all Elevated X users the entire user Authentication/Login process is generally handled via a go-between script. Some CMS providers include user management in their features. We did too - very early on. We quickly removed it in favor of having Elevated X CMS customers use a dedicated script for this so we're sure they're using only the very best solutions in all areas of their pay site business. The majority of our customers use 1 of 2 products: ProxyPass (www.proxypass.com) or Strongbox (www.bettercgi.com) for site security and user management. More are using Strongbox. It's affordable and we've only heard good things about it so that's what we continue to recommend. It sounds complicated but it's not complicated at all. All you should need to to do is design a join page. All the work is handled by the people who provide the software and everything works well together out of the box. You shouldn't need any programming or coding skills. If anyone says otherwise, don't even consider buying their product. AJ |
Thank you all, great information in this thread.
I actually run carma now, but I have spent over 1700 on design, setup and programming plus the lease fee for the last 9 months and its no where close to working the way I want it to. I don't think I'm trying to do anything fancy, I just want to do the basic things that its advertised as being able to do, but I am not a coder at all, and I estimate it would take me several months to a year to educate myself enough to set it up myself. I am more focused on affilaite management and sales so I really cannot spare the time. I don't think its necessarily carma's fault, I think the first designer I hired may have duplicated alot of effort coding functions into the templates that should have been handled otherwise, and done some things that are contrary to best practices that have frustrated later efforts. It's possible that I am very close to being done setting it up, but today I discovered that after finally getting video to play, (was billed 730 for setting up this function) my content protection (strongbox) breaks video playback. Bettercgi wants 100 an hour to track down the problem. I am baffled that an expensive CMS like this cant just play video like nearly 100 open source cms's can, but what do I know. I am exactly one disappointment away from tossing it since I would be forced to determine that I am throwing good money after bad. But I really cannot do without NATS so I am looking at other solutions that will be less of a headache. |

I've used Elevated X, Site Depth, Awiz and had a custom CMS built. I have not used Carma so I can not comment on that.
Building your own can be a total headache however if it all works out, you win as long as it doesn't break. If you don't have it in you to go that route hit up AJ at Elevated X. I believe X is the best. While I think X is overkill for the guy just getting started, it is still a wicked CMS. As a suggestion to AJ, a "Elevated Light" option would be very good for smaller sites, new guys, or people who just don't need all the extra bells and whistles or prefer to do their own encoding. |
