Apple really has their shit together....
PC users, its time to start hating Apple, and start loving them. They do everything right. check this out..
First, I went to the an Apple store. Nice, bright, clean, cool, tech. CROWDED!! Lots and lots of people on both floors. I found what I wanted right away (Airport, a "wired-to -wireless" converter, and a Time Capsule which is a combination 1 TB external hard disk and 802.11n wireless router. Neat. The tech answered all of my questions right away. He knew everything. I went to the counter to make my purchase, and he SWIPED MY CREDIT CARD ON HIS IPHONE...!!! He then entered the item number and boom! I was all set. My credit card number gave him my full name and email account. The Bill was sent to my email account - no printing necessary. He had taken my purchase, updated his inventory, gave me a bill, completely wirelessly and without wasting paper. I bring my purchases home and plug them in. WOW!!!!! My mac saw my time capsule and the airport, just like that. My airport saw the time capsule. The time capsule saw everything. I now had an additional 1 Terabyte of storage. Just incredible. So speed must suck, right? No!! I was able to backup 300 Gigs of videos in no time and it was as simple as drag and drop. My PC talked effortlessly to the Internet via the Airport, and so did the printer. Now for more fun. The Airport has an audio port on it. I plugged in some speakers, and WOW!!! Itunes on my Mac now saw the Airport, and played music via AIRTUNES. I fired up my iphone and could control the music in my house via the iPhone! WOW!! So to sum it up. Good service, good price, great products, nothing to configure. Wow, Apple, Wow. pc's suck. |
That pretty much sums it up.

But... I dont like to stick cocks in my ass and mouth.

Welcome to the world of Mac.
I converted in 2005 and we now are running 5 Macs total. Only 1 Windows Netbook I keep for testing layouts on Windows. Gotta love the Genius Bar. I've even had them fix computers that are out of warranty for free! |
after visiting an apple store yesterday, there is no recession happening in apple stores thats for sure.
|
They are pros at vendor lock-in and shiney stuff.
But as long as you're happy, that's all that matters. |
yeah i have been trying to work with a mac as well as PC....what really impressed me was that apple donated all kinds of macs to the school systems so that all the kids growing up learn on macs and not PCS. When those kids grow up what do you think they are going to buy mac or PC?
Personally i still love the PC!!! |
I might buy one for my 90 year old grandma so she can email me....
Crows also love mac stuff.... shiny.... :1orglaugh |
Bit of Apple TV and your all set :)

not sure how he did swipe you card on his iphone.. but i wouldn't trust any one swiping my cards on their personal devices even if it was holy Dalai Lama himself
another thing, why would i want to go into crowded store when i have everything here on the internet and no sales peeps pitching their warranties and other bs. although i'm no mac fan boy, i can agree they do seem to have their shit together. |
My primary system since 2003 :]
I still have my old dinosaur PowerBook G4 too! |
I don't know, I just never liked macs so much. They try to cater too much to looks and stuff. Am I the only one that just wants a plain black box sitting on their desk without shiny logos and ergonomic grips on my monitor? I am being serious. Unless its a gaming only computer with like fucking a built in lava lamp, and strobe light (holy shit sweet idea lol), just keep it plain.
Plus you get the image that im artsy and sophisticated and blah blah, I don't like that. Its just a damn computer, not a way of life.... When I was a kid, my friend liked macs and I liked windows... hes like "Look how cool this looks and how neat it is, and how it just works... etc etc" and I said "Look I am playing 20 cool new games that you cant, so keep looking at your shiny box" :p I just dont like em |

Haha i had a similar experience when i was in San Francisco last week and picked up an Ipad 32Gig. I was blown away by the simpleness of the whole transaction and how smoothly it went. I had ordered mac products before online but never had been in any of their stores. I am glad there is not an apple store close to me or i would spend all damn day in there haha!

Good if you're not a power user and don't care about having any hardware options...
And you want to over pay for everything you buy... |

That's a smart carder, lol.
Seems like Apple has it going on. I have still resisted all things Apple. Never paid for a song, app, or a ring tone ever. I still get by. I'd sure like to write a few apps. I have the ideas, any programmers want to sign an NDA and split the profits if you decide to code any of my apps? hit me.. |

Apple is very smart. But do you really think all the people in the apple store are actively spending money? they are not at all. 90% of the people in there are there for the free internet and free cellphone use. That's why those stores always look so crowded. it's genius really.
|
i had a bunch of Mac users as friends growing up, and they used to go on and on about how stable and absolutely fantastic Macs are..
..they all make their money fixing macs now |

Apple is brilliant compared to the PC market.

Apple is successful because of Steve Jobs. He puts his personal touch on every last detail, that is Apple.

Enter our world the world of mac!

i got 3 macs. Been on mac for 6 years. Just picked up the Mac Book Pro 17inch i7(it flys!). Dont own an Iphone or Ipod and im no fan boy.
I know when i turn them on and need to get my shit done, it gets done. Zero crashes, zero issues, zero hardware conflicts, zero software conflicts. They go to work strait away. Was on a PC for 18 years knew how to build them and fix them. Any issue i had or my friends had, i was able to fix it. Was never a problem. But even though i knew how to fix them why should i have to always fix them? Shouldn't they just work? And work with no issues or conflict? Felt like the PC repair man to all of my friends. When i needed an editing system that was solid, thats when i got into Macs. I Figured why all of these people love macs the 1st day. Everything worked so well together and zero crashes. Figured out how to edit Final Cut video in 2 days and never felt so good with any purchase as i did with this Mac purchase. I short all of my Macs work when i need them to. No waiting, no conflicts no bullshit errors, just strait to work. In some eyes i paid way too much for what i got, but then again what is my time worth?:2 cents: |

There's a couple CC swipers and apps for swiping and charging cards so you can run your business and transactions on your iPhone. EDIT: Case in point - http://www.readwriteweb.com/start/20...r-1-dollar.php |
