Those are 2 very different battle scenarios, there is not a military force on this planet that can go toe to toe with US in a conventional fight IE tanks vs tanks vs planes vs planes etc.

The insurgent/guerrilla type fighting taking place in Iraq has has minimal effect on our military, sure they kill a few guys here and there with IED's but its 7 years later and we are still there, doesn't seem like a successful strategy IMO

That is kind of what I was getting at. All these years and the big bad government can't even get the job done. I highly doubt we would even stand a chance against NK.

Years ago, this government would raise it's ugly head and everyone would bow down, so to speak....now they just laugh at us and don't take anything very seriously.

Plus the fact that the troops we have are all taxed out. I am sure moral is down, the war has taken its physical toll on the soldiers, so I would say we would get our asses kicked but good. The only way to win is to nuke them and uncle sam does not have the balls to send that message like we did in WW2.
