I've met them, probably some of the most down to earth cool fucking guys I have met.

Can't stand Deftones. The singer's voice is so whiny! It's like being at a dentist for me.

I used to be the hugest Deftones fan in highschool. Then White Pony dropped, and I was kinda turned off the whole thing, haven't listened since. I mean, they used to be raw as fuck, then Chino turned into such a whiny emo bitch...

I've seen them a couple times. Live they tend to be hit or miss. White Pony is sort of a bore, their first few albums were the best but some of their more recent stuff isn't too bad either.

I caught some stuff from Team Sleep a couple weeks ago... was totally different, but pretty good.

oh yeah, teamsleep is very mellow and cool. Saturday night wrist is a pretty cool album

How much screaming is there in this album? I like their riffs, but the screaming grates on my last nerve.

well they are classified as metal :thumbsup I think the sound is getting more sophisticated to be honest. As far as the "Emo" thing, Chino goes to the California goth clubs from what I understand, maybe that has something to do with it?

I researched that Deftones is a rock band started in 1988. I like rock.
