The Oakland Raiders have released former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell after three unproductive and highly paid seasons. He won 7 games for them and was paid $39 million or $5.57 million per win!

That'd be smart...he's getting up there in age and being able to potentially have a replacement who has experience under his belt without having to pay much would be nice. That's assuming of course Russell's going to be smart and take a small contract to get on SOME team.

Ryan Leaf is hoping his legacy may be off the hook soon as the worst bust of all time.

Cutting losses for sure. NFL QB has got to be one of the toughest positions in all sports to be successful over a period of time.

Raiders will make the playoffs with Russell gone and Jason Campbell in his place. Expect the unexpected. Then again their the Raiders, they might release Campbell too lol.
