Doesnt he own most of Citi Corp as well? Not that I care really.

PornMD 05-07-2010 10:49 AM

Nothing has changed.

Liberals will spend their time doing this for conservative organizations but not their own, and Conservatives will spend their time doing this for liberal organizations but not their own. Newsflash: Wealthy arabs and Chinese own a significant % of many things in the US.

abshard 05-07-2010 10:50 AM

Its actually News Corp the parent company of fox news that hes the 2nd largest share holder, here is #1 and #2 shareholders according to wikipedia

#1
In August 2005 the Murdoch family owned only about 29% of the company. However, nearly all of these shares were voting shares, and Rupert Murdoch retained effective control of the company. Nonetheless, John Malone of Liberty Media had built up a large stake, with about half of the shares being voting shares. Therefore, in November 2006, News Corporation announced its intention to transfer its 38.5 per cent managing interest in DirecTV Group to John Malone's Liberty Media; in return it bought back Liberty's 16.3% shares in News Corp., giving Murdoch tighter control of the latter firm. Murdoch sold 17.5 million class A shares in December 2007.

#2
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.'s shares, making Kingdom Holdings the second largest shareholder

If that were true, the new owner of News Corp will be the US DOJ since they're intent on seizing every penny they can from Brazzers.

In a way, DOJ is the pornography industry's best friend.

To any federal agents reading this: thanks for your support in fighting piracy and shady business practices! :thumbsup

I think its funny, a majority of the fox news viewer base in anti muslim/saudi arabia

With the influience of the number 2 shareholder i think they will become a pro saudi arabia channel and put saudi arabia in a positive light unlike they have in the past.

fatfoo 05-07-2010 11:45 AM

Nope. Neither the 1st or 2nd largest shareholder is an American yet they want to use Faux News to shape American policies. Hmmmmmm. Funny that Glenn Beck hasn't done any of his connect the dots shows on this.

Those guys are loaded because of the oil... if we were to find a way to not have to rely on oil, they would all be fucked :1orglaugh

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years........It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries."
