Looking fro someone from former xxxcash.com or similar company that had/ has trouble with xpays.com
Simply the thing above... protecting a brand is one thing and damn right!...
fucking up other people another. And I don't want to have the sort of trouble in my business for which I must show people the hard way. Need just some info from the people directly involved in this. |
XPays drama?

Quite a specific request you have there.

wtf are you talkin about willis

Only a few things I can't understand at the moment, and some things I understand very well ;-)
I'm with over 10 years too long in this business not to see some people always trying to destroy other peoples business for their advantages. Not the fact I have to care here in Russia jet, but I do only serious business all the way. So first thing, before my company puts a new site or product into the market, is to check for other trademarks, domainowners, and even the not registered "brands". But looking for the registered xpays brands on http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.jsp it doesn't show up anything! And I honestly can't take somebody seriously who wants to claim anything with "pays" in their domain name or even "xxx" as a registered trademark... especially not after folowing the Microsoft law suite due to massive spamming or the sometimes not very friendly threads about the affected guys here and on GFY and other boards. xpays.com here on GFY = Evan, right? Could you please post me the public source of trademark documents expounding your CURRENT brand claims? So there is nothing I have to discuss with xpays.com at the moment (anyway I'm always open to friendly serious business talk for almost all people), but I would like only to hear some of the comapnies having trouble in the past in personal. |
you are mad because we have many years old established trademarks?
you can see many listed at the footer of http://XPays.com |
if you need a fresh brand name for a new venture try the GFY HuntingMoon Domains Store: http://HuntingMoon.com/gfy
|
whats the story here?

" XPAYS®, ALWAYSPAYS®, VODpays®, XMoney®, and XXX® are registered marks of XPays Inc. " You claim to have registered trademark for " xxx " " just "xxx" ??? is that filed and approved somewhere? hard to believe that would stand up in court. Wouldn't you be able to force the person who owns xxx.com to hand it over? Would you get any royalties from the .xxx deal if it goes through ? :winkwink: |

Oh come on Evan (may I call you Evan?). I have no problems with you in person.
But what are you talking about? I own 800+ domains with my company and have leased/ dealings for a couple hundreds more... thanks for your advice to look at huntingmoon, but I have enough domains within my many years old established business. I asked here respectfully for a serious info, not for somebody offending other people. Quote:
But as I wrote above, for this I like to check the trademark issues with a official prove (with exact wording) and to talk to other people, how can share their experiences. It's normal business, not more. |

to OP: anyway, hope you find a good domain and tm, and it is good to see you respect intellectual property.

drunk russians posting in this thread
:2 cents: |
Thanks KrisH for your 2 cents :pimp
I think I will contact you in person Evan. By the way, yes XXX is a registered typed drawing code 1 word mark of TMEP §807.03(i) to xpays.com |

drawing code? What does that mean, he registered XXX in a particular font style and color or if I use XXX in my domain name or on my website I would be infringing on his registered mark ? I don't try to register / trademark protect everything under the sun, so I am not very knowledgeable on this subject. |
There is a U.S (!) national wide trademark law (of course changed through the years and since 2002/2003 it's called "standard character" instead), which means a series of characters/ big letters without design (e.g. form, composing, color, symbols), as a "drawn" characerisation of a brand.
It's not a word mark, wich would prohibite you to say on your website "Join now to wath XXX movies"... and therefor two other main trademarks would be a unique symbol or a combination of characters and design/ color. |
