MrDeiz 05-18-2010 05:20 AM

btw is there any site like that for The O'Reilly Factor?

seeandsee 05-18-2010 05:31 AM

he must be one :)

Gouge 05-18-2010 05:39 AM

It must really piss some people off that everything he said in that clip is true and happening and they cant disprove any of it.

LoveSandra 05-18-2010 06:04 AM

Glenn truely is an entertainer.

CaptainHowdy 05-18-2010 07:25 AM

He doesn't look thin...

spazlabz 05-18-2010 07:30 AM

I was debating whether I would post in this thread or not, obviously I decided to. Glenn Beck is not an idiot, I think he is far from that. But I think he is either certifiably insane or plays it well on TV, appealing to the lowest common denominator for the Republican base. He seemed to come across as not completely bat shit crazy for the first 3:50 of this video but I could not take any longer then that because I view him and people like him as a HUGE part of the problem with what is wrong in the US today

he says there's too much spendings and complicated things. i agree on that meaning that we should spend, consume less all over the world (actually it's not cutting consumption at all, what i see nowadays is too much waste. and fat and lazy people on the other hand all what they care is their work or biz and movies/tv etc).

so we must educate ourselves, go for real values, be fit and strong rather than care only about our work and take all those limitations government takes 'for our good'.

many things don't mean anymore the same as they meant for thousands of years. the natural order of things is busted. we don't create a system anymore, but abuse it by not developing ourselves as strong and bright people

Hahaha, you're joking right? 90% of what he stated is pure opinion, and the few facts he did state, started before Obama ever took office.

If you want actual news, you might want to start listening to a news source and not an entertainment source.

I listen to ALL different kinds of sources. Every single one of them has an agenda. Anyone that listens to only one side is an ignorant fool IMHO.

Sweet, multiple "sources" is great... however entertainment isn't a source for information, it's entertainment. When you watch Beck, you get 90% entertainment and 10% repeats what the other news sources already said.

And when you listen to TheDoc or MSNBC you only get the lefts agenda, so whats your point?
Beck brings up stuff that goes in depth, yes a lot of it is opinion, but at least he isn't being left on a chain like liberal news sources.

Other than I'm not left and I have no agenda... He is extreme right and has an agenda - huge difference.

The guy is feeding you people Entertainment and you're eating it up as if it's real... that makes you a sheep.

with all due respect for you I have to say 'no'. I am not trying to be rude here at all, quite the contrary. For me to expand on my thoughts would only serve for me to rant (believe me I could rant for days on what I think of Glenn Beck) because he, and others like him ON BOTH SIDES only serve to divide. That is it... period. There is no one on the right or the left begging for congress to come together and work as one government with a two party system for positive change....nope, Just people like Glenn and I will even say Keith Olbermann, whose sole purpose in life is to win the debate. Enough debate, it is time to do the hard job of compromise and governing. What you showed in the clip you provided is exactly that, name calling, scare tactics and division and unfortunately, that is ALL you will get from him....maybe I did expand on my thought after all :winkwink:

As long as people view it as that there is no problem. But many people are not as insightful or intelligent as you and view what is spewing from the mouth of the extremists as fact, not opinion. I will add this to your thought if I may, I know that when I am watching MSNBC that a lot of what I am watching is agenda driven opinion. I can tell you that Ed Shultz, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow all to a person will say their show is opinion. I rely on my world view, life experience and news to form my own opinion and not any of those shows... but I am still a left leaning moderate :)

Why not TheDoc? I am and I have. My agenda politically is to try and convince people that working together is far superior then divide and conquer. I also want massive reforms and regulations from health care to financial institutions and taxes. But... I am self aware enough to realize that none of it is going to happen, not really. I do get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I think about how intellectual I think I am though, so that helps LOL

Glenn Beck has not been a republican since late 2007, he clearly talks about this all the time. Before the 08 election he changed his voting status to independent and he slams the republican/conservative base every day on both of his shows.

Hes not reporting news...hes a political pundit thus the reason why his tag line is enlightenment and entertainment. And 100% of what he commented on in the clip has come true or is coming true, doesn't matter if Bush or Obama was in office at the time of said opinion.

I say this as I'm sitting here listening to Rush Limbaugh on a computer where my homepage is Drudge Report...

Beck (Rush, for that matter as well), should be taken purely for their entertainment value. Sometimes they bring up good points, but it's mostly entertainment.

_Richard_ 05-18-2010 10:21 AM

i'd rather watch sponge bob

GatorB 05-18-2010 10:27 AM

Beck, Hannity, Rush and O'Reilly all need to get on the same plane and have it crash. They are all more of a threat to American freedom that Al-Queda. What they do borders on treason.

Martin 05-18-2010 10:33 AM

I don't like Beck. He's just an actor. I like Alex Jones. He speaks the truth about both parties being controlled by the same group of elite. These other fox pukes didn't start speaking like this while Bush was in power. You were a commie anti American during the Bush years if you bashed the Government.

Sooo he made predictions that the eco would fall, the same time everyone else did and that means something, hell everyone new it was going down. People were saying this back in 02/03, let alone 07.

Housing isn't universal... medical care still isn't universal, food isn't, major companies have been nationalized before, and still our banks aren't nationalized. Of course people have been saying the auto industry can't sustain itself for 30 years now, already having several other bailouts in history, and yet Beck bet everyone to the punch.

Truly, you people can't be this big of sheep.

If anything his predictions failed... they fail to see that things are getting better and things are improving, overall he ignores that it's working.

You do have to make up your own mind, but you can't do that if you just listen to one side, If you just listen to the liberal media, you won't hear the mistakes that are being made, like did MSNBC make a comment about Eric Holder not reading the Arizona bill? I find that pretty important that the attornel general will legally challenge a state over a bill that he has not read, what a fucking tool! I personally don't watch Beck very often, I do like watching Oreilly

I think alex is controlled by the same forces that run fox. Yes he does reveal alot, but there is a line that he does not cross. I'm very thankful for him though, but there is a point where you must take what he says then really get to the root, or you'll drive yourself crazy with his "nwo", "illuminati", "global elite" talk.

Hollywood is run by the arabs according to Alex.

good point about Holder and MSNBC... he is a doushebag in my opinion as well, I am certainly not on the administrations dick... but to flip that, how often does Fox not report or under report something that makes the right look like steaming ass piles?

bottom line here is real journalism is dead... flatlined years ago with the advent of the 24 hour news channels. Fox News, CNN, MSNBC are reality television geared towards different markets and thats all....the problem is when one of these reality shows has an actual impact on the political process and say what you want about Keith and crew, they have NO influence on anything no matter how much they wish they did while Hannity and O'Rly actually do influence it. Look at Rush, the entire republican party is terrified of him. It'd be funny if it wasn't, in my opinion, so destructive to the governing of this country

mgtarheels 05-18-2010 11:43 AM

He's not an idiot. He's an entertainer, and a damn good one at that.

The idiots are the ones believing his intentions are actually to deliver news, whilst some even believe the shit he says.

Exactly, people just take sides and point fingers. I think I read somewhere about "the mind numbness" of the west. People talk and talk, and talk. Little is done to solve any problems. The same could be said for almost anything today. Something or somebody gets their 5 minute fame and then the train continues on to the next thing. The good, the bad and the ugly gets left behind.

And it's all happening lightning FAST. "social media", celeb news, talk shows, news. On and On!. Internet!

The biggest power house today, no doubt...owning the media. Glenn Beck and everybody else, is in it for the MONEY. There's a huge gap in the middle. People don't seem to see it, because they are busy taking sides and mouthing off. Others may even find it etertaining to watch the battle between these sides!
