Wouldn't it be criminal gets owned since he is on camera eating the evidence? It probably threw them off when the note disappeared but all they have to do is go back to the camera and see him eating it.

b) No, because I believe you have to show evidence in court nowadays, not just show a grainy film clip where someone eats a bit of paper that could have been anything. Heck, maybe the guy likes eating paper?
