Man sentenced to 25 years in stabbing death of immigrant

New York (CNN) -- A Long Island, New York, man was sentenced to 25 years in prison -- the maximum -- Wednesday for his role in the stabbing death of an immigrant from Ecuador.

Jeffrey Conroy was convicted in April of manslaughter as a hate crime in the death of Marcelo Lucero, an immigrant from Ecuador. Prosecutors say Conroy and six friends in 2008 targeted Latinos for assaults -- part of a sport they called "beaner-hopping".

The gov is forking out for all the deportations right? So why not, if you get caught and you're facing deportation, at least get the option to choose where you wanna go? You know, give them a little hope at least instead of sending them back to where they came from. Let them decide.

Immigrants have never been the problem... Illegal immigrants have. Statistically speaking, at the lowest point, 100% of illegal immigrants commit a crime, and the majority repeat crimes.

Very hard for any Country/race or group of people to beat those numbers.
