Keep in mind that their are different flavors of cloud storage, the cheaper the worst the service.

There is no clear cut "definition" of cloud services. Everyone makes up their own meaning and what they think it is.
Frankly marketing hype/bull crap. Nothing but glorified VPS's, the point/goal of it is having lots of VPS's on various machines in various parts of a datacenter that are not vulnerable to single server failures/etc |
