UFC 114: 'Rampage' Jackson vs Rashad Evans - this Saturday night!
http://www.mmafight.com/wp-content/u...114-poster.jpg
There is a whole lot of hate between these guys ever since they both were coaches on last season's The Ultimate Fighter. This fight could go either way. Both of them have been champions. Rampage seems to have the size advantage (especially his head). But Rashad is fast and likes to knock people straight the fuck out. I wouldn't recommend betting on this fight, it really could go either way very easily. It looks like they are dead even over at Bodog at -115 (bet 1 to win 0.87). |
rashad easy on this one...
I would like rampage to win but fact is rashad is a good little wrestler... and wrestling is the neutralizer of all things .... if you will bet on it bet safe and bet rashad |
Jackson and Rashad Evans have similar body types and they resemble each other. I wonder who will win the fight.
|
Evans all day on this one
|
rampage has more experience, better striking, stronger, has fought better opponents and a better chin! jackson will knock him out before the end of the first round.
|
i like rampage but i think evans is going to take this one...i also see forest losing his fight
|
Should be a good one.

I'm ready for this

Evans rocks
|
I like Rampage but I can see him getting knocked out...
|
Rampage all day
|
Damn, I cannot wait for this one. I watched the season of the ultimate fighter that had them on it and there was some serious bad blood there. This is going to be the very first UFC Pay Per View I have ever watched and I can't wait. I hope it does not end in the first though
yeah, I am cheering for Ramage |
I got Rashad at -110, mostly because I hate Rampage.
|
Evans... easy one...
|
I think Rampage's hate for Rashad is burning hotter than Evens hate for Jackson.
Going with Rampage on this one, but it'll be brutal. Predicting no quick knockouts on this one. |

Rampage was a wrestler before he learned how to box. Rampage is way stronger and a shitload meaner than Rashad. I have worked with Rampage when he got ready to fight Igor Vovchanchyn. Was one of the strongest men i have ever wrestled. I really thought he was gonna loose that fight, but Rampage proved me wrong. I was brought up to the bigbear camp by a close friend of mine Thomas "wildman" Denny to get him ready for a fight. I met Mayhem Miller that trip and a bunch of other fighters. Was a fun time. Hard training and a shitload of video games. If Rashad can get out of the 1st round, i will pic Rashad by Decision. I think he has a better camp and is more focused.:2 cents: |

Rashad has a very good shoot, but he may want to stand and prove himself.
Rashads training looks brutal. Rampage was training in England. Says he is training hard. Up until Machida, Rashad looked awsum. Rampage may have a slight edge on the feet in terms of power. Vice versa on the ground if Rashad decides to start shooting early. I'll go Rashad only cause noone from the Wolf's Lair has won their last 3 fights. :) |
Rashad may do to Rampage as Josh Koscheck did to Dan Hardy. Hold him down for three rounds.
Maybe then Rampage will rise in frustration and sucker punch Rashad after the bell. lol Was that great. Dan Hardy. On the streets of Liverpool that shit that doesnt fly. :) Agreed, it was kind of pussy of Kos. When wrestlers use their overwhelming skills to hold a guy down for three rounds it is kind of lame. But part of the game. Is Rampage that great on the ground? Big Q. |
Fully prepared for yet another disappointing UFC.

Igor is one of my favorites to watch.... him and sakuraba are my fav 2 fighters ... igor can fucking hit..... I dunno I know rampage has some wrestling .... I just don't think his wrestling is on the same level as rashad .... and you know as well as I do that wrestling is the ultimate nuetralizer trust me I would love to see rampage win this one... I can't stand rashad really specally after what he did to my coach during the finale of TUF10 Quote:

Im with you. Dont like Rashad, but i have to respect the man for his accomplishments and his work ethic. He is the new breed of fighter. Pretty good at everything and is always improving. Love Rampage, have known him for a while and my phone pocket dials his number monthly, but im thinking Rashad by decision.:2 cents: |

Standing tho, Rampage could ko Rashad. Rampage seems to have a very good chin. Rashad though powerful and has some KOs is more quirky. If he catches you from one of the quirks he can hurt anyone. Rampage is more of a stay in the pocket fighter. Rashad dancing. Rashad likes to finesse and outdo his opponent over time. Rampage is gonna say bring it at me. I don't know. Rashad better take him down. Otherwise Rampage will KO Rashad. One way or the other. And as you say we all know which direction these fights go.. always to the ground. :) Soon as Rampage tags Rashad (maybe sooner), he shoots, that is my call. Then we'll see what happens from there. If he can even take Rampage down for starters. But like Koscheck Rashad has a very good shoot. |

http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/ufc114-2.jpg Images courtesy of the fantabulous UFC and ufc.com :) http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=even....Home&eid=3065 Always fun to watch Bisping and Sanchez. Some good up and coming fighters now days. Tough "Iowa farm boys". Like Alan Belcher over Patrick Cote, Bisping has his hands full with Miller. |
I used to be a 100% believer in jits only ... but in MMA you really need wrestling ... once I started training with Roy Nelson he and his camp adopted me and evolved me as a fighter 10fold easy...
they took my jits to a whole new level for mma as well as my wrestling ... I went from hating wrestling to loving it... the thing about wrestling is if your a solid wrestler and he is not.. you can wear him down in the first 3 min... pummel his arms full of blood then constantly take him down... and the thing with having a great shot that works all the time and you can hit single to the double or even a straight double he can't put to much mustard on his punches and kicks cause in the back of his head he's thinking fuck ill get taken down again.... once your down where people fuck up is .. simple rule your either grappling or your striking never both.... the wrestler cares less if you get back up cause he will just shoot again... and why not.. why risk it.. look at st peire vs hardy ... georges played it safe and I don't blame him.. at the time of that fight I remember hearing how GSP wanted to do olympic wrestling for canada so I am assuming he worked his wrestling more for that fight.... one thing though... I can't stand that little fucker Trevor Wittman though... I just wannt bitch slap the skin off his face fuck I Hope rampage fucks rashad up... I kept laughing my ass of watching tuf10 him and rashad always face to face.... ready to go... rampage is a funny motherfucker..... fuck safe bet rashad by UD fun bet with good odds Rampage KO in the 1 or 2 rd.... |

Cause there is still a boxing mentality among fans that if you cant do your "talking" "on your feet" then your still not really the better man. Yes the better mma fighter (and thus the better man) but still not with the swagger of a puncher. Altho if you ever had a wrestler g&p you would say he was the "better man". I have, but not for long :) I said uncle quick.. street fight deal.. I unknowingly got into it with a state championship wrestler who was way smaller than me.. :) He was prob about a 145LB weight class or even less in high school. I was about 6'3 and reasonably hard 255. He immediately took me down and I soon realized this was no fun for "Amateur Charlie" laying on my back. True story :) Grant it I was 48 y/o and not in my pizza delivery days fighting shape and he was about 40 with something to prove. :) Moral. Dont mess with a 40 y/o state champ wrestler no matter how small he looks. Unless you are my neighbor up here, Brock Lesnar. :) Good to have some input from a real MMA fighter on this board (and a good one). If you were a weight class higher we might see you one of these times on the Spike undercard. :) Would be great :thumbsup |
i pitty the fool who ducks a fight to play BA baracus

I hear rumor that UFC will take on the 145 class... specally after the ratings from aldo v faber ... I can vary from 135-155 as far as weight go's.. I'm a Huge 135er, good 145er, and small ass 155er like frankie edgar.. I walk about 165lbs... I am 167 today... little fat but im out for 3 months with a bruise on the brain.. I have to have a re-scan of the brain beginning of aug to clear me.. then hopefully a nice fight in october-november-dec.... haven't decided on the weight class I guess it depends on the money and who they want to give me... hell ill fight welter and middleweight for the right amount of money :) |
That's a lame match up. Rampage is going to kill him in the first 10 seconds.

I like Rampage in this one.
|
I expected more out of that fight
|
I loved the heavy weight fight with the Fat boy knocking muscle man out
|
That was some serious black on black crime there. I am glad Rashad kicked Rampages' ass. It seemed that Rashad was in some serious trouble there in the third round, but he made it thru and won!
:thumbsup . |
let's see the video

glad rampage got his ass kicked, wtf was up with the chains he was wearing? thought he was DMX or smthing....please... |
That whole event sucked. Boring fight after boring fight. Seems to be the way every event is these days. Not worth the $50 at all. With an event every fucking month at least they're starting to just throw all sorts of shit together, bunch of guys making the fightcard who really aren't exciting at all, headed up by a couple big names every time. For years I purchased every pay per view happily. just another thing you can add to my list of low quality overpriced crap that I'll download for free instead...
|
did I call it?

The main event was a bit disappointing. Three rounds just aren't enough. It should always be at least five not just for title fights. It's annoying not to be able to see who really is the better fighter because of how short the match is.
I like strikeforce better because I less get the feeling that the fighters are like slaves than I do in the UFC. Even the ufc PPV events are so commercialized these days that it's ridiculous. They try to sell you on the games and future events constantly. At least there were a few good fights in there. Jason Britz got robbed but it was definitely a good fight. |
Brilz got robbed big time.
|
I loved watching all the Rampage fans at the bar looking all depressed after he lost. I had money on Evans. :)
