In a very touching and very human interview with Charlie Rose, the late great Dennis Hopper pretty much said he envied Nicholson and considered his own career a failure. Nicholson has progressed to a point in his career where his chances of making epic/classic movies are are extremely likely, according to Hopper.

Nicholson hasnt made anything epic in a very, very long time. In fact, last good thing he did was Mars Attacks in 1996 LOl

Sure he was great in Shining and Cuckoos nest, but that was a very long time ago. he doesnt even act like that anymore nor does he do the drugs and drink on set that allowed him to reach that level of acting,..

You really think anything he has done since the 2000's even compares to Cuckoos nest or The Shining? COme on, not even close. End of story. I like jack, but nothing he has done in 30 years even compares, like Mars Attacks, cool movie, but its comedy compared to Cuckoos and Shining. LOL

He was pacing the sidelines like a coach yesterday. And when the camera was on him he even looked like the coach a few times. He is a bit over the top I agree.
