What the fuck is wrong with my site? Wordpress issue making me crazy
I have been customizing this theme for 2 days now getting it just the way I want and now something very odd is happening. I can make changes to the html (php files, css, any of it) and I hit update and the file does update, but the changes are not taking effect on the site. Like I said, I have made 1000 edits the last couple days and this just started happening. Is there something I could have done to break wordpress, or does this have to be a server issue?
Sorry this is my first post. I planned to introduce myself and had a few sponsor requests and some other shit, but as soon as I got my approval email is when this started happening and it has brought my productivity to a halt for today. The site is highestdef dot com. but I doubt looking at it will tell you what's going on. Just know that the 2 or 3 glaring errors are what I have fixed and when I view index.php through WP admin, they are correct, but they are not correct on the server. |
I just manually uploaded the edited index.php through ftp and it's still not showing up. Now I'm really stumped. I have setup countless blogs with wordpress and never had this problem. I have a bad feeling that it's something very dumb and simple that I am missing.
If anyone checks this thread, where it says "view full post" does it say "postss" or "post"? |
Another wrinkle. I just checked it in IE and the edits are there. Somehow it's not loading in firefox. This is the weirdest shit ever. and it's not a browser bug or css issue. I just changed the spelling of a word so I could see what was happening. So much for my first attempt at an adult website lol

when you say errors, are you talking about the comment bar floating to obstruct the pictures ?
if yes, then it looked the same in IE and Firefox anyway im not sure if you already know this....but did you try using CTRL + F5 ? sometimes the page gets cached in firefox so any edits you make will not appear 'to you' because firefox is still loading the old page from its cache |

haha, i suspected as much, been through it before myself :)

There are no dumb problems or questions except the ones not faced and the ones not asked.
