Build Your Own Solar Panels - Cheap!
I know it this is essentially an infomercial, but for under $50 it is tempting.
Check it out and see what you think. *note - I have no vested interest in this product - I am just passing on the link... http://www.mysolarplans.com/watch-it-now.html |
i think he said everything needed before he went on his sales pitch

Another question: is the energy generation even COMPARABLE to normal solar panels.
|
I watched the video: $170 per 70 watt panel. Interesting.
|
$50 - now that's cheap.
This reminds me of earthship houses (environmentally friendly houses) that can be built by yourself for only $5,500 a house. You can use tires, pop cans, dirt and recycled materials to build the house. |

very interesting but he charges 50 bucks for the info
|
I think this is just a SPAM, but if someone want to risk and pay 50$ please write review

Don't trust Aussies -- or people that can't pronounce solder correctly.
|
I make cell phone chargers out of those old solar garden lamps..
|
$50? With no batteries, right?
|
Man, I thought CHINA was supposed to drop prices rock bottom but solar panels are still expensive... If they made 5KW panels for less than $1000, I'd be on it like white on rice!
|
Looks like spam to be honest. Too much bullshit, and not too much information.

http://www.builditsolar.com/ nuff said.

Now you can power one small table lamp with the power of the sun!

With regards to the OP, I guess the reason these DIY panels are so cheap is because you're doing much of the labour yourself. In Australia DIY probably wouldn't make sense since our government offers rebates for commercial solar installations. BTW, once you exit the page you get a $27 second chance offer... there... I just saved you $23 :D |

I heare you, man. A 2 hp AC burns 2500 watts in these parts. |

Heat source pumps, underground heating, wind generators & solar. They are all trying to do it right but they are all still so expensive compared to fossil fuel :(
On my pool Im going to use a heat source pump which uses compressed air. I am very much wondering about using the soloar panel idea to run the rest of the pool electrics. Other than that, the size of these homemade solar panels on the roof would be huge to create enough for tumble dryers & overs. |
