Interesting info on Obamas approval numbers.

I was just watching a thing CNN did about Obama's first 500 days in office. They had good and bad things to say. Something they pointed out, and here is the info to back it up, is that after the same period of time during his presidency (meaning after his first 500 days in office) Reagan actually had lower approval ratings than Obama has now.

Interesting.

Are you saying that Obama will become a favorite of Republicans? ;)

Obama won't make a second term unless she starts shitting bunny rabbits.

So far he has been the most over-hyped politician the world has ever seen.

Interesting.

At around this time in Reagan's presidency, he was unpopular due to the fact that Volcker was putting into play anti-inflationary policies that deepened the recession. The upside? Several solid years of low inflation and solid growth. Volcker's the man!

Looks like Bill Clinton is the winner out of those presented

Oh boy, where are the times when the biggest public concern was who sucks president's cock (literally)

Volcker+Reagan=success. Volcker is infinitely smarter than dumbass Greenspan and the even bigger dumbass Bernanke. Also, Reagan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Obama.

I can agree with this. I wanted him to win, but the hype is ridiculous. What has he done to deserve any of this? (lol, apart from his ethnicity)

I agree. When he won the expectations were so high that there was no way for him to meet them. I have mixed feelings about how he has done so far, but short of walking on water and immediately solving the economic problems of this country his approval ratings were destined to crash.

:2 cents::thumbsup
I agree but would like to add this: Obama destroyed what little hope I had left that the problems of this country could be addressed in a progressive way (and I do not mean liberal, I mean actually moving forward) the Supreme Court buried the carcass I am afraid to say. We will have another 25 years at least of judicial conservatism with no hope of correcting the fuck ups of the recent past..... I have lost all hope

Reagans numbers where down for 2 out of his 8 years, Barry wont even be re-elected that alone shows where he stands in the eyes of the country

How do you know he won't be re-elected? Two years is a long ways off and a lifetime in politics. He might be worse off in two years than he is now, he may also be doing a lot better and at this point there is not a clear cut republican contender who has a much higher approval rating than Obama does.

Who do you believe will be running against Obama in 2012 - that can actually beat him?

Lots of Dems, libs, and progressives are pissed that the Obama administration has not leaned far enough in their direction, but all of these same people will vote for him again, once they weigh the options out.

Still too early to tell. But if he's still floundering during the final 12 months of his current term then he might be a one termer.
