Do you like pupusas?
Pupusas as El Salvadorenan corn flour flat "cakes" (I consider them inverted and sealed tacos) that contain a cheese or cheese/meat filling. Good stuff! Usually comes with pickled cabbage and a watery salsa/hot sauce.
Bump this thread if you're also a fan of this fine Salvadorenan dish! http://i48.tinypic.com/264p83c.jpg |
yes there are a couple of resto's around that serve them, really goodstuff, definitely recommend anyone who hasn't had them to give 'em a try, the closest analogy I can think of is a true Mexican gordita, not referring to what is served at Taco Bell. there's a Pupeseria we stopped at once on the way back from NYC, awesome pupusas, wish it was closer

I see that for the first time but looks yummy

Time to check the net for a recipe. Gotta get my hands on some Masa Harina (corn flour). The rest of the ingredients can be obtained fairly easily. |
For those looking for new food to try

Probably my favorite Latin treat. There is a spot right off the boardwalk in Venice that makes them incredibly...
