Safari 5 Released

Anyone else test it out?

dooglas 06-08-2010 08:32 PM

I'm on it now..very fast!

Spankys Teens 06-08-2010 09:01 PM

well, i wasn't gonna download it just yet but reading these reviews I'm gonna do it right now

gleem 06-08-2010 09:09 PM

seems the same to me, maybe a little faster, text/colors seems a bit crisper. Haven't tried any extensions out though.

I've been testing it out on HTML5

How does the speed compare to Firefox or Opera?

chris_joseph 06-09-2010 02:51 AM

I tried it yesterday, it still consumes over 1gb of ram, even with only one tab. just like safari 4.

seeandsee 06-09-2010 04:00 AM

1gb? omg memory monster, is it that good ???

punkpred 06-09-2010 04:04 AM

Uses nearly as much ram as firefox does and is half as fast. Opera is a good alternative or better still Chrome.

Oh no that's not good. I usually have 5-6 tabs open at a time on Firefox with very little memory usage. 1gig for one tab? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
