Countries such as Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Norway, Switzerland, Thailand and South Africa require prepaid cellphone registration in an effort to prevent terrorism.

And in the United States, similar laws have been proposed in several states, including Texas, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

--

Next to the tin can and string, you have to register just about every other communication device and method already. And terrorism aside, it's not like any fool doesn't know drug dealers, human traffickers and organized crime rings use these more than anyone.

But yeah... big brother needs to 'watch you,' that's clearly what's going on.....

Privacy is in short supply.

Another stupid law to hassle the innocent public and more money wasted to create a law.

Step one. Buy a Magic Jack with cash from Walgreens

Step two. Activate MJ in any Starbucks parking lot

Step three. Set your MJ phone number with any area code you want in the nation

Step four: Place call

This all can be setup and done in less then 5 minutes. You can also drive around any neighborhood and pick up any non-password wifi if you don't like starbucks coffee.

When you setup your MJ phone number, don't you create an account and doesn't it cost yearly?

You buy MJ prepaid account (up to 5 years) in advance when you purchase the hardware. The account information can be Rick James if you want.

Ahh... looks like MJ will be walking a fine line then.
