Wax On, Fuck Off - the Ralph Macchio Story

Just saw this on Funny Or Die:

:1orglaugh I love it. Glad he stopped rocking the beard. I don't know if any of you saw Maccio in more recent years, but the facial hair looked all wrong on him, like a bad Gene Parmesean disguise.

He's always going to look like a little kid. Good to see him owning it. :thumbsup

Connor 06-10-2010 09:19 PM

That was indeed funny... but, also kind of sad. lol

ShellyCrash 06-10-2010 09:22 PM

I have an autographed picture of Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi that I hang behind my desk. I use Mr. Miyagi as a management / teaching tool.

Pretty much anyone who's ever worked for me has seen the original Karate Kid. I walk them through the whole training / chores scenario, "Remember when Mr. Miyagi made Danielsan wax the cars, sand the deck, paint the fence? Daniel got all mad because he thought Mr. Miyagi was being a dick and just was getting a kick out of making him do bullshit work and wasting his time... But then it turned out that he was making him do it so he would learn the basics of karate and be able to defend himself..." etc etc

The point being if I tell you to do something a certain way- even if you don't understand why- there's a fucking reason behind it. :2 cents: :1orglaugh

lazzlo 06-10-2010 09:24 PM

Great LOL on that one!

Okay, so the beard failed. How about if he tried dreadlocks and mean ass Technoviking-style goatee?

Matthew 06-10-2010 10:50 PM

anyone, an imdb link to this movie?

if this is (or will be) a real movie, it'll kick ass karate kid style ;D

EliteWebmaster 06-11-2010 01:23 AM

One of the dumbest movie franchise ever. And the remake with Jackie Chan and Will Smith's son is even dumber :1orglaugh

LOL So funny of Ralph to do it!

SpongeBub 06-11-2010 09:12 AM

It pisses me off that they put Will Smith's son in the remake. Having Jackie Chan sounds great and I've heard he does a good job. But putting that too-young kid in it, just because of who his dad is, totally screwed any chance the flick had of being good. Hello, Daniel-san is a white guy, okay? Should have used Shia LePoof - he looks about 15.

starting that kid off in a major feature film will prove to be a mistake.

I agree. If this kid was tied to the project they should have waited a few years or used someone else.

I don't really have issue with them using a black kid, but the reason it doesn't work as well with younger kids, IMO, is because the violence isn't really real. I think kids at that age need to be taught conflict resolution, not martial arts, to deal with their problems.

Not saying Martial Arts is bad for kids, I think its great- keeps them fit, teaches them discepline and keeps them occupied and out of trouble. I just don't think you should put them in karate so they can become a better fighter on the playground.

When you're 10, 11, 12 a fight is usually just a punch to the nose and some grappeling. Every now and then a kid will get a serious beat down, but bullying is rarely serious at that age. It feels serious at the time, but the worst a kid is probably going to get is a bloody nose or some skinned knees.

16, 17, 18 shit gets real. Serious beat downs get delivered and you're talking about broken bones, trips to the hospital, etc. You need to know how to defend yourself.

Just my :2 cents:

I need a BJ from an 18 year old beauty. Arrange it and don't fucking ask questions. The answer will become clear once I've shot my load.

Ralph: "I just wanna get photographed getting a handjob from you - I'll pay cash."
Hooker: "Oh you so sweet baby, why don't you come back when you turn 18, okay?"
Ralph: "God damn, you know I'm 48 years old?!!"

Sweet video.

I think Karate Kid was huge for me. I have a black belt and I used to detail cars for a living.

So many people did the wax on wax of thing to me. Funny shit!

sinclair 06-11-2010 02:57 PM

Epic! Ralph scored huge points for doing that.
