Wow thats amazing for a kid so young. I mean damn, the kids going to be taller with bigger feet at the end of every practice session, haha. Hopefully he can handle it! What a deal.

Destined to sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car... You win at life, at 11, WTF, hahah

btw, the next youngest driver to be accepted at the ferrari driver academy was lewis hamilton. |
Good for him - that's gotta be one hell of a story to tell your kids/grandkids.
I hope he does well... best of luck kid. |
lucky little fucker

It's just PR guys, I read the whole article from a few days ago. The boy's father owns several ferraris, owns the race track in Montreal, imports Ferraris for sale at his dealership, bought the Tommy Hilfiger clothing line, so Ferrari is just rewarding their best customer/distributor by signing his son. Even the kid's racing coach did not give a very glowing review of the kid. I didn't hear anything like "The Next Senna" or "Phenom" but the coach said "competitive" and "better than kids his age". Does that sound like a glowing endorsement lol

so what if his dad is rich, he didn't buy the kid's victories.
The 11-year-old has two wins in the Canadian national championship in the Rotax Mini Max category as well as Coupe de Montreal and Coupe du Quebec Micro Max Championship in 2008 and both Mini Max Championships in 2009. Montreal native Lance Stroll has started off his 2010 karting season by taking two championship titles at the prestigious Florida Winter Tour. The third year driver was able to pilot his Scuderia Karting Tony Kart to two major class championships in the span of only three months. Montreal native Lance Stroll made a big impression on the European karting world with a stellar performance at the 2009 Vortex ROK Cup held on October 24th at the famed South Garda Karting track in Lonato, Italy. |
Valentino Balboni with be jealous :D
|
If he can convert karting success to F1 success then good for him.
