One more nail in the coffin for climate change fraud

The IPCC consensus on climate change was phoney, says IPCC insider

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change misled the press and public into believing that thousands of scientists backed its claims on manmade global warming, according to Mike Hulme, a prominent climate scientist and IPCC insider. The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was “only a few dozen experts,” he states in a paper for Progress in Physical Geography, co-authored with student Martin Mahony.

“Claims such as ‘2,500 of the world’s leading scientists have reached a consensus that human activities are having a significant influence on the climate’ are disingenuous,” the paper states unambiguously, adding that they rendered “the IPCC vulnerable to outside criticism.”

Hulme, Professor of Climate Change in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia – the university of Climategate fame — is the founding Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and one of the UK’s most prominent climate scientists. Among his many roles in the climate change establishment, Hulme was the IPCC’s co-ordinating Lead Author for its chapter on ‘Climate scenario development’ for its Third Assessment Report and a contributing author of several other chapters.

Hulme’s depiction of IPCC’s exaggeration of the number of scientists who backed its claim about man-made climate change can be found on pages 10 and 11 of his paper, found here.

Who wants to bet Obama pushes his climate change legislation tomorrow based on this fraud with the oil spill?

Can we start arresting some scammers yet? How about some public hangings?

Gawd forbid we do something responsible for a change.

bla bla bla ... climate change is a FACT - how much impact human caused emission has might be discussed, but its FACT methane and CO2 DO have an effect on global climate ... basta - undisputable!

I'm sure it is a fact. The question is... Are we getting hotter, or colder. While everyone talks about global warming, truth is it's June 14th and it hasn't come close to being 100 degrees here. In fact, I turned the AC on for the first time this year.

The earth gets hotter, then gets cooler. We have global warming, and then an ice age.

that sort of the point what we described as both global cooling /global warming may just be a cycle that the earth goes thru.
humanity is an insignificant blip when it comes to changing the enviroment we live in.

Basically, if there is a price on carbon then yes, some good things will happen. Currently Oil and gas are heavily subsidised - ie the US gov spending trillions on a war to secure oil reserves for private companies etc. With a carbon price it gives wave/solar/wind etc equal footing which will end up helping everyone through eventual energy independence and forced confrontation of issues such as oil depletion before we have to deal with serious price signals. I really don't care if Al Gore gets filthy rich. People are getting filthy rich now taking advantage of the status quo. If you worried about people making money and people being taken advantage of you'd never get anything done. I can certainly see a lot of utility in moving in that direction. And hey, a $9/hr job is still a job, I thought America needed those atm, the $x/hr jobs shooting brown people to subsidise private companies in the middle east government jobs market so a few people can get rich while nothing changes seems a bit stretched.

You're right, climate change, every fucking single day since earth mass got put together.

undisputable? You're really "smart". If you think something, doesn't mean you're right and your opinion is undisputable.

Cows has much higher effect on CO2 then cars.
It's simple fraud how to squeeze more money from companies by politicians.

There were so many nuclear tests and still no significant changes. After Cernobyl, there was radioactive cloud above whole Europe. And significant problems are only around Kyjev.

Earth is so massive that you can't change much.
Mother of all bombs dropped by Russians make such pressure that it broke windows in Finland. And we're still alive. There's no 200 degrees here.

Recycle is way to go. I wouldn't go hybrid way with tons of batteries and saved 10 grams of CO2/100km. And also sh!ts like stop&go, some parts worn much faster with it and production of new costs also some energy. i would rather have small capacity KERS in cars instead of batteries.

In past, cars lasts 15 years in quite good condition. Now, almost every fucking car start
haivng serious problems after 4-6 years.
And what do people do, they buy new, huge amount of energy is spend on production of car and amount of heat is produced.

Oh really? It's a FACT? I bet you voted for Obama. There is no way to prove Global Warming is man made. Only a complete moron would say it's "indisputable". There are no records that date back far enough to say whether the warming of our planet is just the normal cycle of things.
