Twitter, Social Media and the underage content problem

With the creation of user-powered social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook it's very easy for underage pornographic content to appear.

Running a Twitter or Facebook account that relies on user submitted amateur erotica seems to walk a legal thin line. From my understanding, simply possessing underage sexual content on a phone, email or hard drive is a felony in the United States. I imagine it appearing on a Facebook "wall" or message would be as well. How does the owner of a social media account that relies on user submissions prevent underage content from being submitted?

1st of all, i'm no lawyer so dont take this as legal advice.

i believe there are safe harbor rules to protect you as a "Service Provider"
but you must place certain safeguards in place like the ability to report and receive DMCA take down notices (copyrighted material)

look at img.4chan.org/b/ if you have ever been on there, there is usually just ridiculous nonsense but every now and then something illegal pops ups and there are tools to report it. the moderators then ban and report the ip to the authorities.
