Assuming that President Obama will be a one term

...President...which may very well be the case...what Democrat can you visualize beating any Republican put forward in the next Presidential election?

epitome 06-15-2010 10:20 PM

I'd like to see a debate between Palin and Fatfoo.

So my answer is Fatfoo.
And I hope the Republicans are dumb enough to run Palin.

Of course I think Fatfoo is Canadian and I have no idea his political party.

neither party has worthy leader, neither party is focused on getting shit done.
its all one big careerist circus. idiocracy rules therefore Palin would be best candidate for the job.

After Obama loses in 2012 the Dems will prob go with someone like Rahm Emanuel, Kay Hagan or Tim Kaine in 2016. I do not think it mattered who was elected this time. Whether it was McCain or Obama both would have been a oner termer. Too much fucked up shit needs fixing.

Bump for the day crew.

CamJack 06-16-2010 06:22 AM

At least he's trying. George Bush ruined this country.

This far out in the last election, I wouldn't have ever thought Obama could have been a candidate, so I truly can't even guess who it would or could be. However he's probably going to be reelected.. so I really have no reason to think about another candidate.

Yes...it is early...as it is 2 1/2 years off. I suspect in 2012 the next Democratic nominee will be someone yet unknown to the general public.

LiveDose 06-16-2010 09:58 PM

Never thought he would crash and burn so quickly. I don't think the next President will be a big name that we all know. Everyone paying attention is sick of all the headliner fuckheads in DC. Politics in this country has hit an all time low. Half of those crooks should be locked up IMHO.

The Republican Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States, along with the Democratic Party. Founded by anti-slavery expansion activists in 1854, it is often called the Grand Old Party or the GOP, despite being the younger of the two major parties. The party's platform is generally considered right of center in the U.S. political spectrum.

The Republican Party has the second most registered voters as of 2004 with 55 million, encompassing roughly one-third of the electorate.[1] Republicans currently fill a minority of seats in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, hold a minority of state governorships, and control a minority of state legislatures.

what are u talking about? you actually think Barack Obama is going to voluntarily not run for re-election? no matter what state the country is in he will run again, he'll lose if things aren't a lot improved by 2012 but he will be the Democratic candidate.

he's a competitive guy, and relatively young, not a chance in hell he'll walk away after one term.

mattz 06-16-2010 10:13 PM

SSSSSarah Palin

EliteWebmaster 06-16-2010 10:29 PM

He will be in for 2 terms if the republicans are stupid enough to get Sara Palin to run against him. He would murder her in the polls. At least McCain had a chance, Sarah has no chance in hell.

MovieMaster 06-16-2010 11:37 PM

Romney , Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, John Huntsman, John Thune, Palin
would be my guess for the field...

Christie is talking a whole lot of sense these days... But too early to tell.

Here's an interesting fact: there is oil spill in Alaska right now, too. (The oil spill is not just in the Gulf of Mexico.) Sarah Palin is in Alaska. I'm Canadian. I am focusing on doing profitable business right now. I'm not focusing too much on getting votes.

Try again...and this time notice that I said nominee...not candidate.

He is going to be a one-term president, but he will still be the democrats candidate. He won't fuck up enough to convince people like TheDoc to nominate someone else. :2 cents:

obama will go on 2012, he is poor :(

He'll be a one term president if the Republicans can offer the voters a more attractive choice in 2012.

Thing is, they can't.

They don't have anybody who looks even remotely presidential.

He has to actually fuck up first... and it's not me you have to convince, I didn't vote for Obama the first time, I'm not going to vote for him the second time either. I'm a Ron Paul guy.

The logic is simple though, he hasn't done crap to turn anyone against him, including myself.. let alone someone that voted for him the first time. That's how you know he will be two terms..

Black Ops 06-17-2010 05:36 AM

Rebublicans: Jeb Bush and Sarah Palin.

Aye, he will never win... not sure if he would fix the Country - but at least it wouldn't be on the same path.

He got so few votes though, that voting for him is slightly pathetic. However, voting for the main people running is rather retarded.

wig 06-17-2010 07:56 AM

The problem with Ron Paul is that to put his ideas into place, he would have to collapse the country (and more).

Easier to talk about it from the armchair than actually pull the trigger.

RP is a good sensible guy with great ideas but even if he ever wins I doubt "lone warrior" like him would be able to turn whole system in the right direction by himself. he is modern Don Quixote.

Dual citizenship can't run for president, thats one of the things the birthers are pissed about with Obama living in other countries , he must have had dual citizenship

DaddyHalbucks 06-17-2010 09:47 AM

I sure hope so!

Tom_PM 06-17-2010 10:01 AM

Speculating on such things now is pretty impossible. I guarantee you right now that none of the names we're currently familiar with will even get past the primary.

Can there be any doubt why this tool is in this business specifically?

_andy_ 06-17-2010 11:09 AM

Wow, a bunch of political noobs up in here. Obama's re-election campaign is already set up. It's going to be run out of Chicago. And you guys actually think any Republican stands a chance at beating him? He's the best politician in this country bar none. And considering the shiteous state of the world, he still enjoys a 48% approval rating, which is higher than Reagan and Clinton had at this point in their first term and they both got re-elected.
