Greeks all over the world are busting plates right now. Why?
 

1. Their first goal EVER in world cup competition scored.

2. Their 2-1 win over Nigeria.

I fully expected this one to be a snoozer but it was anything but. Stupid reactionary penalty by one of the Nigerian players gets him instantly red-carded and sent off leaving his team down a player and that was it, Greece was all over them from then on.

You could actually almost.... almost... hear the drums from the Greek fans over the vuvuzookas.

Greeks are partying in the streets here in Canada.

It would've been a different story if that idiot Nigerian hadn't gotten himself sent off. Greece weren't in the game till Nigeria were down to 10 men.

the stream i was listening to must have been filtering out the horns because i didn't hear it much at all, which was sweet...

that group has a chance at having 3 teams with 2 wins a piece... that is crazy..

i was on vacation in crete (greek island) when greece somehow won the euro championships in 2004. the locals were going crazy beeping horns for hours.

hopefully they dont go too overboard today.... because tommorrow its back to EU riots :)

Normally they only do that at weddings for good luck :)
