HELP! Is it possible to BUY a XP Pro Product key online?

I have the legit disc. I'm halfway through installing it in bootcamp. The product key turns out to be incorrect.

Is there anywhere I can get a legit number/code ? I dont mind paying for another copy, provided I get the code right away via email.

I have bought XP many times on old computers that are now trashed. I borrowed what I was lead to believe was a genuine disc with a 3 user licence. Turns out that although disc is real, number is not.

I dont wanna go messing with keygens etc... I'm happy to pay but want number now, case Im halfway through installing it!

Its Windows XP pro, with sp2...

HELP!

Relax Microsoft will re-direct you and you'll be able to purchase a new license code online when you try activating.

It sounds like you're trying to use an OEM key/installer that will not work with your hardware. (You can't use a HP restore XP cd on your Mac. It won't take the key)

If this is the case, you're kind of fucked, from what I've seen. You'll need to buy the whole License and COA w/ Media.

I cant get past the enter product key part of the install. If I could click something, and get a key by paying Microsoft I would.

No, its the full version, with service pack 2 installed on the disc. Its NOT tied to a manufacturer HP Dell etc... I just dont have the key, and when I try and look on microsoft site, they dont appear to sell it anymore, but they say the support it, until the 13th of July...

I have a list of XP Pro keys, but I might end up sleeping on the couch if I hand them out. :1orglaugh

Its OK. Panic over LOL

I managed to get past the bit where I was stuck, and it finished installing. I'm gonna remove it tomorrow, and purchase my own copy and start again.

I was only concerned because it meant my new imac was all 'stuck' and unusable, until I sorted it out LOL

It's good to be sober from bad fluids.
Drink clean water and breathe clean air.
