Chargeback?

ErectMedia 06-19-2010 11:53 PM

I think McAfee does this as well. You have to call them to turn auto rebill off.

I've always wondered this. There's been several things that should auto renew on my cc in the past but I always seem to end up having it cut up and getting a completely new one before then anyway.

~Ray 06-20-2010 06:35 AM

did she not want Norton or is she the type that enjoys filling out her cc details?

my domains auto renew all the time - should I be mad?

MetaMan 06-20-2010 07:29 AM

um no why doesnt she read the terms?

that is the problem with this world. no one is accountable for their own actions.

i bet you there is tons of people who want to auto renew year in and year out. but because your mother didnt read terms it is their fault?

this is why business is being choked out. if you choose not to read terms that is your own problem.

David! 06-20-2010 07:33 AM

What is incredible is that many of these "mainstream" companies make it almost impossible to see the renewing terms! It took me a month to get Yahoo to refund a $35 domain fee and over 3 months of fighting to get Norton to refund $79. Now when some idiot, who's been jerking to porn on the same site for a year and is tired of it, calls his CC to charge back, they refund the full year faster than a crack whore swallows a load

MrBottomTooth 06-20-2010 07:39 AM

Why anyone would actually pay for antivirus protection boggles my mind, especially when the free versions are actually superior in most cases.

Marcus Aurelius 06-20-2010 07:53 AM

kind of like 100% of what adult paysites do?

oh gawd!

Brent 3dSexCash 06-20-2010 08:11 AM

One of the first things I do when I get a new computer is uninstall whatever anti virus software it came with. It is so annoying with the "reminders" and many times does a lot more harm than good.

punkpred 06-20-2010 09:15 AM

I ditched Nortons back in 2003, everything got through, by far the worst anti-virus program out there. The most annoying thing about it was the worthless downloads daily.

Chosen 06-20-2010 09:29 AM

Fuck Norton :)

V_RocKs 06-20-2010 11:26 AM

Norton = how a company goes from the best software to the shittiest.

Babaganoosh 06-20-2010 01:14 PM

Norton is garbage. I kind of wonder if they were created just to send work to computer techs?

scarlettcontent 06-20-2010 01:41 PM

go with Mcafee they dont do that

bdld 06-20-2010 02:03 PM

it probably said it will renew yearly and she didn't read it or forgot

HomerSimpson 06-20-2010 06:03 PM

Norton is a piece of shit! Move to nod32.com / eset.com
or some other Anti-virus... here's a nice list: http://www.filehorse.com/software-anti-virus/

JustDaveXxx 06-20-2010 09:12 PM

Anti Virus is a serious scam. I guessing that these companies hire out hackers to make viruses for the public so they can sell virus software.
i hated that shit when i had a PC.

Now i have all Macs, viruses and virus protection software scams is something that never comes up anymore.

Apparently you aren't in the adult industry. Atleast they didn't bang the fuck out of her card for 6 charges to sites she didn't even know about.

go fuck yourself
