It's a sad day for me: I need glasses!

My eyes have been bothering me for the last few weeks and finally today I went to see an eye doctor, and she told me I really need glasses: a graduation of 1.25 for each eye.
I guess it's time to admit I'm not 15 years old anymore, sigh!

not sad. things could be A LOT worse. ;)

you will probably look great too. :)

See, and people say constant masturbation doesn't have side effects.

haha, thanks! I actually ordered some adorable glasses with a little bit of "bling" on the arms; they looked so cute on me when I tried them on!

I know what you are going through. We all think that the perfect vision will last forever.Glad to hear I'm not the only one that is going through this. I uses to have perfect vision but after 5 years of staring at a computer screen on a daily basis things just aren't the same. :(

I've been trying to use regular reading glasses but I finally broke down after 8 years and had my eyes checked. I have a little blur in my right eye and can't see shit within 2 feet of my eyeballs. Menus and food packaging were the main things I couldn't read anymore so ended up going with some bifocals that I picked up last week.

Still getting use to them as I only use them while working but the bottom is basically a strong reading glass lens but the top gives me perfect vision viewing the computer screen.

:)

I lived my whole life without needing glasses, until the same thing happened. My eyes would hurt after a few hours of computer-time, and then it got to the point that they would hurt all the time. The eye-doctor confirmed it. You're a GEEK and its time you looked like a GEEK.

Good thing for me, chicks dig geeks. Eat it, jocks!

ah, C'est la vie ... glasses aren't so bad :)

I'm sure I need glasses, because to read things I need to hold them away from me farther and farther.

PenisFace 06-21-2010 01:15 PM

I had to get glasses at 16. After having 20/20 vision for my entire life. And they are still getting worse. I'm near sighted, sadly, so I have to wear them no matter what. Once they stop changing I'm getting em lazered, because glasses are major pain in the ass. You do get used to them, but they are always going to piss you off for some reason or another :P

I cant wear contacts because I'm a big baby and my eyes snap shut the instant my fingers get near them :1orglaugh

Blurry eyes is how I found out I had Diabetes. My eyes were always perfect and I was shopping one day and out of nowhere, they got really blurry and I couldn't figure out what was going on. I was also having a kidney infection at the time, so that put the eye exam to the back burner for a bit so I could get the kidneys looked at...... I go to get antibiotics for that and as always, they run a urine test and came back and told me there was blood in it and ran me thru all sorts of tests.... next thing out of their mouth after telling me I was Diabetic was that I needed to have my heart, kidneys and eyes tested. So I got to go get everything seen about in a hurry, and found out I have to not only start wearing glasses, but I have to stab (that's how it felt anyway) myself 3-5 times a day. I had to change everything literally on the fly.

So, while glasses suck, girl, embrace that, it could be a whole lot worse, trust me, it really could. :thumbsup

I actually thought of that before since one of my friends had a similar case to yours. So when my uncle came to stay with us for christmas, I had him check my blood sugar, but things are fine in that department. I think it's just old age!

I still remember "that day". I was on the freeway with my girlfriend and noticed she was able to read the (big huge green) freeway signs long before I could. Went to the doctor the next day, and bam - I'm wearing glasses for the rest of my life.

I'm okay with it really. I have two pairs, but pretty much wear my sunglasses all the time so everyone things I'm trying to be cool or coy. Which ever.
