so ive been thinking...
 
about setting up a boat rental/waterski/tube rental biz...

How does one do this. do you just buy the equip and a dock???

there's A LOT more to opening a real world business than that - should do some research first to see how much competition there is in your area doing the same thing. you'll need to at least have some rough idea on how much revenue you realistically think you can make, a high and LOW estimate, what your expenses will be. figure out how much the equipment and the dock purchase/rental will cost you.

if at that point after some research you think there is a viable business you need to talk to an attorney for basic advice - what permits/licenses you'll need IF you can find a dock that has some commercial zoning. LIABILITY INSURANCE ...... contract that your customers will sign when they rent a boat, jetski etc. Forming a corporation.

there is a ton of work to do in setting up a small business. i'm sure there are lots of good resources online with guides for people who want to.

You'd be trying to get a loan to finance the purchase of the watercraft or leasing?

Im thinking of working out of a major lake... i just dont know what or if they have an exclusive marketshare here.
