Local Billing - Can only process with sites that do 200K+/month?

After looking at a few other top end websites were using local billing for their foreign traffic, I thought I would touch base with them and find out more about them. This is what I got when I asked about fees/reserves:

Thank you for your interest in Local Billingâ??s international marketing services. Local Billing utilizes a unique business model where it partners very closely with its clients to drive international sales growth. This model requires a significant investment in growth from both parties. However, this high-touch, high-investment partnership only allows Local Billing to partner with a limited number of online merchants who process more than $200,000 USD per month in top-line revenue.

If you feel that there has been an error in this process, and your firm does process more than $200,000 USD per month, please contact our sales team again at [email protected] to share more information about your firm.

Thank you again for your interest. We wish you the best of luck and success with your business!

The Local Billing Team

All I can say is - Wow!

It is a good position to be in.

It may be a good position but I would imaging they are losing out on a ton of business...:2 cents:

It's only 5006 $39.95 transactions/month. What's so hard about that? ; )

The smaller customers are usually the most demanding, so I am sure the lack of stress and resources is worth it.

$200k/month is easily doable if you add enough hidden pre-checked xsales.

Even if $150k/month are chargebacks, at least you can process with localbilling :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

The reason they have such a high barrier to entry is local billing does more than just international processing. I'll let them pitch their services, but in a nutshell to successfully impliment it is a fully involved process. Its not plug and play, they make a serious time investment to do it right, they just want to make sure they are getting a return on their investment.
