Do Europeans use Facebook, or is there a similar system that is the choice of people in Europe?
How about Australia?

Australians use facebook.

I think Facebook is pretty much universal. Though it changes in Asia. Facebook dominates but Friendster is still widely used.

facebook is europe's facebook, though there are some local equivalents hanging on, like tuenti for kids in Spain, I imagine similar things exist in other countries.

Facebook seems to be universal though.

Facebook is big in Europe as much as it is in USA. The only exception is Russia and some other ex-soviet countries where the biggest one is most probably vkontakte.ru
