Possible to retire with $400-500 a month in some exotic places (preferably english speaking places)? I know Thailand is a good place, but I would prefer somewhere where I could be surrounded by white women. Anyone out there currently retires with this $400-500 budget?

Of course you can. It just comes down to what you're willing to live without. $400 - $500 isn't much, when you factor in all the basics... electricity, water, garbage, rent, food, clothing, fuel,.... you'd be living without a lot is my guess.

Not including apartment rent you can live "so so" on 500$/month in Eastern Europe. If including rent then you must live in smaller towns where rent is very cheap, but not in major East Europe cities (capitals etc).
I would say make it 800$ at least

Thinking of accumulating up to $100k, and invest in some sort of income/dividend fund that generate 6%, getting $500 a month on average...

If I continue working for another 3-4 yrs, might be able to save up to $200k, getting $1000 a month on average... the purchasing power will shrink to probably $1750 today's value thanks to the inflation/FED

i think it's possible to live in Toronto with $500, not in downtown though, rent a small room 45min or more away from the city where u hav granny as your neighgour OR in the gay neighbourhood... of coz no cheap woman in Toronto... groceries are not too pricey in Toronto...

Laos. you could live in Vientiane on 500 a month. great food (and real high end places for dining), *super* nice people, french influence, smoking hot weather and cheap cheap. would be better to have around a grand/month, but yeah it could be done on less. lots of white girls, all tourists lol. once i get too old to snowboard/downhill bike, i'm pretty sure that's where we're going to move.

Well, you could do it, if you wanted to live out in a village, in either some shitty shack you build yourself, or with 5 other people. Wouldn't have aircon, TV, etc. though.

I'm living in NE Thailand right now, which is the cheapest area of Thailand, and we still spend a good $4000/month. Rent for a nice house is cheap, at only $150/month, then utilities are another $150/month. But if you like to enjoy yourself every once in a while, gonna need a bigger budget than $500/month.

depends on many factors (house/apt. rentals, utility bills, costs of food and other stuff...)
it's not impossible but it's just very hard to fill in all the blanks with that amount of money, and especially if you're alone...

I think the average monthly income in Belarus is around $250. So if you like Eastern European women and beets, that might be a good choice.

Too much, 1000$ is enough for normal lyfestyle. Even EU countries in Eastern/central europe has average salary of about 500-600Eur. So with 500-600 eu you will be like an average citizen.

i was in thailand, i was in indonesia, i'm living in eastern europe...it's really hard to retire with such amount of money, unless you are in ascesis of many things....

for example: in thailand i was spending around 45-50 usd daily...
in indonesia: around 30, only because they don't have that many good massage saloons ( i mean normal massages...)

and now i live in eastern european country and i spend around 25 usd daily heheh...but it's only because i stay in one place, don't pay for petrol, and do go to massages.....heh....kinda astetic life with such amount of money here....but i know that people earn less here and get by.....and in thailand they earn on average 200 usd...in indonesia 100-150....so go figure....you will always spend more if you are not citizen and a tourist/visitor.....if you want to spend less go to some countryside and do nothing here....but is it life is for ? ;]

Living permanently in third-word shitholes gets old really fast. You are much better off living in the US for half a year, and spending half a year in Lat America or Thailand. But you want to live abroad as strictly a tourist, just partying and screwing women, two months at a time. You don't want to try to live there and deal with all the bs issues locals deal with. You will need $2,000/month to stay in ok hotel and party in Lat America. If you are reasonably attractive and fit, you will screw lots of non-pros for free with minimal effort.

I think you can make it in Ecuador, Colombia and Nicaragua. Not living large, of course, but decent and in a safe neighborhood. Bolivia for sure, but it's a harsh place to live.
