Solution for those affiliates effected by programs closing
Tracking Adult Links System ( TALS )
We're seeing a lot of sponsors close their programs and when they do all their affiliate's traffic is lost. So might we suggest TALS as a script to quickly change your linking codes with a click of a button. TALS is a small free script that allows webmasters to track outbound links to sponsors or other links in their network. It track the number of clicks per day, month and year with graphs. TALS is free to download and use as much as you like. TALS creates urls that are generally friendly to search engine such as google, yahoo. Normally a link like this: http://www.amakings.com/track/MTM1NTo0OjU/ Will become this http://www.domain.com/site/AMAKings/ Download FREE here http://www.bigdotmedia.com/tals.php Any questions, please let us know. I will pay for an unencoded version, do you have that option?

Good stuff,

what about banners?
can change links, but not the banners :( |
It only works with links which is the most important part.. right?
|
Nice.
I feel for webmasters working hard to advertise a company that soon after adding links, banners, galleries etc, closes. Good luck for all the programs out there. |
It sucks when affiliate traffic is lost.
These are some helpful tips. |

If you where smart then you would be able to change the banner to something else from your server then hotlinking an image. :2 cents: |

I know some guys have 1000's of galleries on their sites. If their sponsor dies they have to change every page and in the meantime they lose that traffic. If they were using TALS they could redirect that traffic until they fixed each gallery. :2 cents: |
Looks very good.
|
Or you could use a simple php redirect.
Code:
<?php header("Location: http://www.linktoyoursponsor.com"); ?> Code:
Redirect 301 /big-tits.php http://www.afflink.com Or you could use the free Fast Click Sql script. There are lots of different ways you can keep track of your affiliate links and make things easier for yourself when programs go tits up. :) -N |
I tried TALS for some months. Works fine but loading stats is super slow. Isn't there a way to make that faster?
|
Dirty, I recently had a client using TALS for his gallery links. These were high traffic gallery sites and there was a lot of stats to process. When we removed the refferal (where the link was coming from) in the update process everything was working perfectly. It was only the fact he had 100,000+ refferals to check. That did not effect his stats at all.
