EpochStats.com I'm sure I've missed this somewhere

For some time now I've been unable to connect to anything related to epochstats.com on the affiliate side. Did they change the url or something? Even going to epoch.com and catching the link from there doesn't work.

https://www.epochstats.com/webmasters/index.php

works for me.

You mean can't login or reach the url?

PersianKitty 07-03-2010 04:49 PM

I can't reach the url, on two different browsers. Can't ping, etc.

I can reach hits.epochstats.com but not www.epochstats.com

Check your Antivirus/Internet Security settings, I've had problems like that when using web ad blocking.

area51 - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-03-2010 04:53 PM

works fine here.

Yeah, sounds like firewall or dns problems.

Yeah... through the same router.

milambur 07-03-2010 05:10 PM

Most likely router issue, sounds really weird thou. Have you rebooted the router? If not do that. If it still dosen't work, try to connect using a proxy.

milambur 07-03-2010 05:12 PM

There could be a problem with a firewall filter for the https ports, but that could be a bitch to fix so I would just get a new router if it isn't a more advanced model.

I've been able to connect to other https urls before, so I don't think it's that specifically.

PersianKitty 07-03-2010 05:26 PM

Yep.. it's something to do with the dang router. Bypassed it and I can connect and login. Put it back in the loop and no go. Very odd, because I know I can connect to other https urls

reset it with the little button on back to bring it to factory settings.

Might be blocking a specific https protocol, but I can't see any possible issues looking at the encryption protocols or keys.

Done and still wouldn't connect. Router is one of the best I've had... guess it's time for a new one. It is a few years old.. just sat in a box cause I didn't need it until about a year ago. D-Link DGL-4300

Using a Cisco Linksys WRT610N on my private network and a little more advanced Zyxel on my business network atm. Both works really good.

I used Linksys for years but they didn't seem to like the pounding from all the gamer packets and multiple systems at once. Of course, the kids aren't here having 'lan parties' anymore.

Got 2 Xboxes and 1 PS3 at home + 2-3 computers running most of the time. No problems at all. 100 Mbit WAN connection Gigabit LAN and 300Mbit wireless. Usually get up to 10Mbyte/sec if I download a file from a fast server.
