What do you do when all of your beers are warm?

Do you just drink them warm, or do you fill a glass with ice and move on?

I personally put them in the freezer, and drink the warm ones on ice while I wait.

Warm beer is just not acceptable...

georgeyw 07-04-2010 08:38 PM

Put them in the freezer or if you have a c02 fire extinguisher, give them a zap with that!

Spunky 07-04-2010 08:39 PM

In the freezer for a hour

That works in an hour, and I'm all for that, but what do you do in the meantime?

A couple on ice... that's what Im sayin'....

NickB. 07-04-2010 08:44 PM

I jump in the car and rush towards the nearest bar, come back after an hour with a chick and beer will be cold in the fridge

DateDoc 07-04-2010 08:46 PM

Fill a bucket with ice water, hold the top of the beer bottle and spin it in the ice water. Should be ice cold in 5 minutes or less.

eroticsexxx 07-04-2010 08:50 PM

You'll need salt, water, a bucket or container, and ice.

1. First put the beers in the container and fill it with ice and water until all the beers are completely covered with water and ice.

2. It's best to cover the beer with ice first and then pour in water. It helps if the water is already decently cool.

3. Once that's all done put in about two cups of salt, which seems like a lot but it'll speed things up.

4. Then stir all of that in the container to make sure that the salt is spread out evenly.

5. If you have a fridge, stick the container with the beers and ice water mixture into the freezer. Take it out in a couple of minutes. Don't keep it in there too long.

mynameisjim 07-04-2010 08:50 PM

Fill a bowl with salted ice water, put them in there then put the bowl in the freezer. They will be ice cold in just a few minutes.

woj 07-04-2010 08:51 PM

freezer works pretty well, pack beers around with some frozen meats and other stuff and it will get cold in no time...

I've been pouring a few over ice, while waiting for the ones in the freezer to chill up. :thumbsup

This thread reminds me of some wise words a stoner friend of mine said while we were waiting for our beers to get cold.

"Dude, they should make a microwave, but for cold."

The old "reverse-microwave" conversation...

Good times, good times! :upsidedow

no, do what he said. the point of it is the salt melts the ice, but keeps the water at freezing. it should cool the cans off really quick.

you need a lot of salt though.

There is - spray a fire extinguisher on it (C02 one) and instantly cold beer :2 cents: Or get a boat load of those soda bombs and spray them directly on the can one should be enough to chill a single beer.

Cradle 07-04-2010 09:20 PM

freezer for a bit does the job

EliteWebmaster 07-04-2010 09:21 PM

Toss it and get another one from the cooler or fridge :)

This :thumbsup

Here in Costa Rica they give you a glass with ice cubes in it along with your beer bottle... The locals always drink beer on ice for some reason.

when I was traveling in Europe there were plenty of places that served warm beer, we weren't sure if it was lack of refrigeration or just tradition to serve warm beer, but since we were used to cold brews, it was pretty unpalatable

Some beer is meant to be drank warm, some beer is meant to be drank near freezing. Other beer it doesn't matter as long as it's cold.

The ice + water + salt trick is the best one. Takes about 5 minutes to make a 6pack VERY cold.

It doesn't just make the ice melt, it lowers the melting point of ice so it can't freeze and the frozen water mixes with the cold water - speeding up the cooling process.

raven1083 07-05-2010 01:12 AM

put it in the fridge then dink after

PenisFace 07-05-2010 01:30 AM

You can't put ice in american beer, it waters it down even more then it already is. Seriously, I was drinking in Oregon one time on vacation, and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't hammered yet. "Oh yeah, I forgot..." :1orglaugh So I drank 5 more, then I felt it :thumbsup

M0nk 07-05-2010 02:14 AM

Grab a bowl fill it with water & ice put The beers in it and then put The bowl in The fridge.
10 minutes later you'll have your beer at an aceptable temperature, 20 mins later you'll have cold beer, 30 minutes later you'll have Ice cold beer. Frozen jars also help a lot.

madawgz 07-05-2010 02:22 AM

just drink it warm and the next one will be cold ;)

The Duck 07-05-2010 02:32 AM

Put them in the fridge and wait in agony.

Dtothex 07-05-2010 02:46 AM

Ice and salt water always does the trick for impatient old me

ottopottomouse 07-05-2010 05:24 AM

Litzer 07-05-2010 05:59 AM

Beer on ice... I'll pass. Turn an Air Duster upside down and blow it on your can. Simple.

CaptainHowdy 07-05-2010 06:04 AM

Drink 'em warm and enjoy the fuzzy feeling...

IllTestYourGirls 07-05-2010 06:36 AM

Agreed with placing them in a freezer, you dont start watering beer down with ice in a glass :Oh crap

Overload 07-05-2010 06:49 AM

lol, get german beer - it always tastes good ;) US beers need to be ice cold so the tongue doesnt catch a taste of it lol

mineistaken 07-05-2010 06:58 AM

Most people call a beer warm when its actually not warm. For instance if you leave your beer in your room its not warm, its normal/neutral/room temperature etc. I drink it no problem.
Warm is when you lkeave it on the sun, I don't drink it

mineistaken 07-05-2010 07:00 AM

By the way this is the first time I hear about putting ice in your beer :)

loreen 07-05-2010 07:00 AM

Beer on rocks is fine by me :)
But I do drink brown European beer.
