RUSH Documentary - Awesome!

Just watched the RUSH documentary "Beyond The Lighted Stage".

Great story of how RUSH got together and became who they are today.

Highly recommended for any RUSH fan!

I saw them once - many years ago when they toured with Max Webster! Still remember it like it was yesterday.......

Moving Pictures was the greatest album in the world when I was in grade 11.

I will have to see this.

I still have their old records.when I was about 15 or so I would steal records until I got caught lol..man that was over 30 years ago

MrBottomTooth 07-05-2010 08:14 PM

My daughter is going to see them in Sarnia this weekend.

HandballJim 07-05-2010 08:46 PM

I might go check them out in concert for the 6th time...they are playing later this month in NY. They always give a great show, they don't have an opening band anymore...3 hours of Rush. :)

Need to see that still! Rush is my all time favorite band! Have seen them 24 times since the Signals tour and seeing them 3 more times next month! 2112 in its entirety on the TFE tour was epic, I am sure Moving Pictures on this tour will be as well!

The same crew made the Iron Maiden documentary. It was great. (Flight 666). They also made a "Heavy Metal Around the World" film which was also very good.

Well as Drummer and music fan I have always dismissed Rush for a reason I still can't put my finger on.

Well I went out and watched it and WOW. It was well shot, informative and fun. I had a great time watching it last night and Im so glad you made this post Dean.

As a teenager I remember watching the music video for "Tom Sawyer" and finding it completely haunting... now they're one my essential listenings.

Tom_PM 07-07-2010 09:27 AM

If you can see only one concert in your life, it should really be Rush.

Great documentary :)

I think that's a big part of the film. People have dismissed Rush for so long and no one knows why. Ive always enjoyed Rush, but after watching this I am even more so. Its amazing how bands back then were so self-made. They were some hard working , passionate kids. Even when they were young they sounded incredible.

fatfoo 07-12-2010 08:15 PM

Are you saying that there is a back stage in addition to the front stage? That is almost impossible.

BlackCrayon 07-12-2010 08:23 PM

They put on a great show at Bluesfest last night.
