Does it really take 2-4 weeks to get something mailed?
I just noticed a message in my inbox that a company mailed me something, and it would take 2-4 weeks before it would arrive. Its in a simple envelope.
Could something really take 2-4 weeks to get somewhere? I mean, it could go around the world 4 times in that time or!? |
carrier pigeon may take that long. but that does seem long for just a letter
It depends on where you are and where it's coming from.
Absolutely.
Only checks and sometime they never arrives
normally no, it just saves their ass if it does take that long.
if you sell and ship stuff its always a good idea to say "2 to 4 weeks" cuz then you're covered. |
I order stuff from China and it can take up to 25 days the last order took 19 days to come through

Only way shit will take that long is overseas via postal surface surface (non air) and that takes longer than 2-4 weeks details and i can tell ya but usually no |
Just gives them 4 weeks before you are entitled to start moaning at them, by which time you should have already had it.
It depends on...
1. Shipping to and from locations. 2. Time also includes the 'handling' and 'packaging' time allotment. 3. Method of shipment (boat/air/class/etc.). |
It depends on where it it being shipped to and from. If we order anything from abroad there is a chance it is going by boat and then it take ages unless you want to pay extra for air freight.
of course it can, depending.
If it's a mail from the US, yes it can. The good old USPS is unfortunately infamous for being one of the laziest postal services in the Western hemisphere, and because of that Fedex has a great home market.
it can yeah. I mailed out a check several months ago and not only did it take almost 3 weeks to get delivered, but it was torn in half, stuffed in a new envelope and returned to me with an "oops we wrecked your shit" stamp on it from the assholes at USPS...
