Bond 23 Gets The Axe

I was just getting used to him as Bond. Damn shame.

So, for now, the franchise is dead. As are all of MGM?s properties, including the much discussed The Hobbit, which is suffering from its own set of delays and problems. Perhaps some kind soul with a heart of gold and a bank account to match will ride in on white steed to save the day. But until that day comes, we?re all left to wonder.

I dig Craig as Bond and was eager to see how he tackled the role his third time out. Casino Royale was brilliant, while Quantum of Solace fell a bit flat. Word is it could be years before 007 resurfaces. Ugh. I need a drink. Shaken, not stirred, of course.

Yeah that sucks, I actually thought the last one was pretty decent.

There's a lesson here: You can't survive on one or two good movies or franchises. So who's going to buy the rights to bond and put Craig back in a tux to kill more villians?

50 bucks says it's going to be Fox. And it will be terrible.

I thought Casino Royale was a great film and then found Quantum of Solace to have felt like a waste of a trip to the cinema.

I had thought double films to be a good way to go like the Bourne ones being a continuation of the story and making two at once would surely be cheaper than filming two separate stories but if they can't afford it then that's the end for the moment.

I'd put money on Bond returning in the future though as it is such a strong brand with a huge back catalogue for TV promotion of any new film.

Daniel Craig is the only Bond I could stomach even though QOS sucked. There is no way this is the end of the franchise.

Daniel Craig sucked... My two favorite bonds were Connery and Pierce Brosnan. How could they even let dumbass craig drink a martini that was stirred not shaken with a fucking lemon snip or whatever that stupid drink was? What a fucktard!

True, I liked him in the action/thriller movie he did before James Bond called Layer Cake. But he couldn't do James Bond.

I think the movie to use as a model for all new James Bonds not including all the older classics, talking 90s on era of films would be Golden Eye. Most of the old ones are pretty classic with the exception of a couple.

I would hope they don't ever release another Bond movie if the only other option was to ruin the series with a bunch of whack movies.... go out with a bang if they have to but if they do its only from mismanagement and people trying to fuck around with the formula too much.

I didnt like Craig at all. Although hes kinda short and not great looking, I STILL think Jason Statham should have been the next Bond!

James Bond is a fun show.
