Was just wondering how hard the hosting companies have been hit by a decline.

It will hit them hard, no doubt about it. The more leaving the scene the more will skip hosting.

I think hosting is probably one of the least affected areas. Sure paysites and programs are dropping but people will still try to make money online some other way. Be it through tubes, myfreecams, blogs, review sites... and they all need hosting.
