Do you get seasick going on a cruise, and who was on the Majesty of the Seas
 

Im booking a grand suite on the Majesty of the Seas. But its the first time ever.
If someone that has experience with this can answer these:

1. Do you get seasick on cruises?
2. Anyone ever travelled on the Majesty of the Seas, and how was it?
3. Anyone ever booked the grand suite? And how was it? Have any pics to share?

Cant seem to find much video/pics of the insides of the grand suite anywhere.

#1 - no, large boats barely move, but you'll see plenty of people with anti sea sick stuff. The one thing you can get for free at the front desk is anti motion sick meds. I guess they figure it's cheaper than cleaning up the result.

Yes I got sick. Yes, on that boat. It was nothing special to be honest.

Crap, I wonder how this would affect me on the 14th deck on Oasis of the Seas.

I get really sick on big boats even though they only move a small bit. Weird thing is though i'm fine on a tiny boat that chucks you around like you're in a washing machine.

its really all person dependent, do u get motion sickness in the car and stuff like that? Theres really no rocking movement to the boats that ive been on at least except for one which got caught in a tropical storm...that was horrible and i only got sick after dinner because of the rockiness. Ive been on 7 cruises total my last one being 14 days and it went without a hitch.

Quitting smoking may help ease seasickness.

They sell wrist bands you can wear that work really well.

I have not been on that one but the others I have been on you can for sure feel the motion.

The only way to know if you will get sick is to get on board.

You can have a great time if you want to or you can hate everything about them Just depends on you.

Personally I would not waste that sort of money on a room to sleep in. Because if you have any adventure in you at all, that's about all you will do in there other than shower and you can fuck on any bed.

My wife and I are avid cruisers and while the ships have stabilizers that really help, these wrist bands are life-savers and work MUCH better than you might imagine, if you place them on your wrists correctly -- AND, unlike meds, you can still drink.

Don't get sick on a submarine, but they dont rock back and forth deep in the ocean

i've only ever been on one cruise on a large ship, and it's pretty much like being on land. i spent 5 days on a live-a-board scuba/snorkeling boat, and it was a little hard to get used to, but you do get used to it. and then, there is the boats from ko phi phi to ko lipe (Southern Thailand). normally not bad at all. but one time last year heading from lipe to phi phi, we hit a massive storm. boat as usual overcrowded, meant for 50 people, stuffed in 100. barely any life jackets, my girl got one (well, i got it for her), my cousin and are both really good swimmers, so we went out on deck once the waves were crashing right over the hull and windows. we were pretty much really to bail out and take our chances. everyone was screaming and crying, we were just focused on survival. the boat somehow managed to limp into a little natural cove, and it was all good lol.

There have been times on the open ocean when the seas were up, especially at night, when the ship is making more speed. Rocking in bed didn't put me to sleep lol, but I was fine a few minutes after putting on wrist bands.

If you are already feeling a bit seasick, this is a fast cure. It's not magic, just a plastic pellet that pushes on an artery in the right place and slows your blood flow in a way that fights motion sickness. Pretty cool actually. I got mine at Wal-Mart I think.

I dive, and this lets you enjoy the trip and dive safely without meds :thumbsup

Awesome, thats good news. My gf is the one who gets motionsickness a bit faster then "normal" people because of personal reasons. I just wanna make sure she is ok. :thumbsup
