Hercules: The World's Biggest Dog Ever According to Guinness World Records

Hercules was recently awarded the honorable distinction of Worlds Biggest Dog by Guinness World Records. Hercules is an English Mastiff and has a 38 inch neck and weighs 282 pounds.

With "paws the size of softballs" (reports the Boston Herald), the three-year-old monster is far larger and heavier than his breed's standard 200lb. limit. Hercules owner Mr. Flynn says that Hercules weight is natural and not induced by a bizarre diet: "I fed him normal food and he just grew".... and grew. and grew.

Someone said the other day there is always someone that finds a picture Jesus took and posts it somewhere as if it's new.

Today you win a prize for being that person.

A week or so ago goodgirl and I were driving through the sticks somewhere in Indiana and we saw what we thought was a pony of some sort. It then lifted its leg to pee on a tree.

It wasn't until that point that we realized it was a dog. It was funny because we were both watching and thinking the same thing without saying anything.

When it lifted its leg we both said, "horses don't do that."

If I see one more idiot jogging with their dog in this hot temp and humidity I will flip out and hurt someone... Last one I saw I stopped and asked him to try to jog in a snowsuit and see how it felt.

Fucking Idiots!!!

Tom_PM 07-16-2010 10:29 AM

Hmm.. I'm thinking if that dog wanted to run.. that leash is going to turn into a human-drag line. Hope it's not wrapped around his wrist too tight!

Your mama's so old she went gang bangin' with Moses.

I just got back from running mine. It's about 90 out there right now I would guess. They had fun and loved every minute of it. You have to keep in mind that dogs aren't pussies like humans.. they just want to do something fun with their owners, they don't care what the weather is like.

bronco67 07-16-2010 10:33 AM

I don't trust anyone that doesn't like dogs. True story.

The dogs I see running in our humidity which is getting up to 90-100's are not looking like they are having fun... Feel your dogs heartbeat when it is THAT hot and Humid... NOT cool imho...

The only reason they are doing it is to please you their owner... Let them loose in the temp and I doubt they'll just go out for a job

Well, relative humidity here right now is around 32% so it's pretty darn dry. I can't let them loose... they will take off and run wild for hours. They love being out, with or without me.

I know a couple of people that were bitten as a small child that I think have a genuine excuse for not liking dogs.

I was attacked and bitten by a wolf/Husky hybrid when I was 12, and I'm a dog lover...I guess its all about coping skills. But anyway, most dog bites are the owner's fault -- so maybe a fear of dogs would make sense.
