Youtube? Do they remove comments from your videos?
 

Some people made comments on my videos that were removed later.
I think people can remove their own comments but does youtube remove them?


The comments sucked but I wanted to leave them on the video anyway.

They are removed when user blocked/banned.

I blame the cyber police

A user made several comments but only one was removed.
So I don't think they were banned/blocked.

Is there a way to tell if the user removed the comment themselves?

No way!

I have a contract that requires that all my consequences stay the same.

maybe report spam really works sometimes...

If the user removes their own comment, it will state just that. Comments can also be flagged as spam by other users; if enough people flag it the comment will be removed.

YouTube doesn't have the time, drive or manpower to go around removing individual comments unless they are flagged as hateful speech or spam by users.

Reasonable comments will not be removed.

pretty easy to get your youtube account suspended and then the comments you left are gone

It's getting harder and harder to pimp youtube.

It usually will say "flagged as spam" when that happens, so I know that already.

I can "unflag" it too and the comment goes back up.

Done that many times.

I tried to "unflag" a comment and the text of the comment was no longer there.

So what I'm talking about is a little different.
