Is Firefox crashing more for you?

It seems to be on my computer.

I've had like 5 crashes in the last few days.

mmcfadden 07-21-2010 07:59 PM

It seems to be crashing a lot with people using WIN 98.

Maybe update to a more suitable operating system

98? Sounds like the birth year of your peers.

I have had problems this last week with FF on 2 different machines. I had to switch to chrome on 1 because FF wouldn't open.

Smokieflame 07-21-2010 08:37 PM

no issues here

the alchemist 07-21-2010 08:40 PM

Well...if you consider locking up to be crashing...it does lock up on occasion and won't respond and I have to kill it with Task Manager. I do not have any idea why it locks up.

Ecksent 07-21-2010 08:49 PM

Yes.

That is all.

Yes, I count lock ups.

FF has also shut itself completely down too.

I also had a flash object showing a graphic from a previously view flash object.
I opened up IE and no such thing.

CYF 07-21-2010 08:52 PM

no problems here.

The Dawg 07-21-2010 08:53 PM

Some sites running Flash have been crashing FF for me. I wish they'd get that memory hog bug fixed, its out of control!

fatfoo 07-21-2010 08:53 PM

Firefox did not crash for me.

Nurgle 07-21-2010 08:59 PM

Spunky 07-21-2010 09:05 PM

Yes mine has also been crashing lately, and my chrome wont load. It will open but just sit there.

LongBG 07-22-2010 01:15 AM

It could be that it doesn't like your Sig.. It thinks that you're not being politically correct.

baddog 07-22-2010 01:43 AM

works fine on my side... don't have crash problems

Emil 07-22-2010 02:07 AM

Google Chrome FTW!

FF started to eat more and more memory, videos lagged and other shit.

Hellfire 07-22-2010 02:09 AM

Google Chrome don't have google bar as a plugin
WTF? 8)

tiger 07-22-2010 02:34 AM

Crashing and freezing like crazy.

I can't leave it running over night either or it will just eat up all the memory. FF is turning into a bloated piece of shit.

ottopottomouse 07-22-2010 04:10 AM

Random crashing is usually extensions.

Denny 07-22-2010 04:17 AM

Firefox + Google toolbar fucking sucks... :disgust

PersianKitty 07-22-2010 04:20 AM

I've stayed away from updating mine since they went to 3.5 and 3.6. The memory leaks that began with 3.5 when I was still on WinXP made me downgrade to a 3.0 version. When I got the new pc and laptop I stay red with what I know works. Using 3.0.19 now.

ez12 07-22-2010 04:20 AM

Well it crashes, but I'm not sure if Firefox the problem..

You should only have one instance of Farmville open at any given time. :winkwink:

Maybe you are right.
I'll have to trust those who have experienced it first hand.

_Richard_ 07-22-2010 10:35 AM

had to update for my ff to stop crashing

ruff 07-22-2010 11:56 AM

Firefox was giving me fits until the last couple of updates. Now it seems to be stable. IE won't even open anymore on my main machine. Chrome is a little buggy as well. May have to fire up Opera and see how it does.

webair 07-22-2010 12:49 PM

its been slowing down for me from time to time...i reboot it and its good to go
