Do you want to be famous?
 

It seems like everyone wants to be famous these days ... even if they end up famous for being an idiot (think Jersey Shore or Balloon Boy parents).

What about you ... would you like to be famous?

I would only want to be famous if it gave me all of the perks without the downfalls. The kind of famous person that sometimes gets approached by fans but who also leads a relatively normal life. Like how Selma Hayek got married to a relatively famous guy and nobody noticed until after the fact ... but not Lindsay Lohan famous.

My girlfriend had a brief spell in the spotlight here in the UK and her recounting of that experience has ensured I never, ever want to be famous.

Albert Einstein fame = not so bad.

I think wanting to be famous is a generational thing.

Post the same question to 14 to 20 year old's and there would probably be mostly yes'.

I'm doing the famous thing after death... It's the cool way to be famous without any of the issues.

I'm sure your family will love the media attention.

Maybe that's what I will be famous for? Living to like 200 years old, out living my family... but nobody realizes it until after I'm dead and discovered another 100 years later.... Being famous has no limits :)

I watched this documentary about the media and being famous called "starsuckers". Very interesting check it out. The media tries to make everyone believe they can obtain fame to get into their wallet.

They did surveys years ago and today. They asked people if they would rather be famous, an athlete, powerful, or pretty and a few others. Years ago people chose the other choices and today they chose to be famous and pretty.
