I studied economics, and I'm always--really, always--amazed by people who don't have the first clue about how the economy works, spouting off about how the government should influence the economy. Please, just shut the fuck up. Thank you. |

Classical economists and Austrian economists, however, believe that increased government spending exacerbates an economic contraction by shifting resources from the private sector, which they consider productive, to the public sector, which they consider unproductive. According to Austrian economists, the reason the Great Depression lasted as long as it did was because of significant government spending and government regulation of the economy. So blow it out your ass you fucking idiot, Canada is doing well because of conservative spending and the UK is shifting their spending by a cut of 25% . We although have a fucking idiot named Barry that praises a banking industry overhaul that leaves out the two largest names, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Just how does that work, the government owns 80%. You think the stimulus worked at all, where's your proof? Increased regulation and a heavier tax burden by increasing the size of the government and increasing the national debt to recent levels can in NO way be good for the country. Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States. Ronald Reagan Just where did you study economics? Back of the Cracker Jacks box? So just shut the fuck up and go back to the book of Barry and revel in all the shit that is Barry, that shit for brains has got the senate and house so polarized that they can't do anything but his fucked up agenda |

Point being... nobody cares that you studied economics. Thousands and thousands of people study economics. Thousands and thousands of people still get it wrong. Studying economics means you know more than than the average Joe, sure, it definitely doesn't mean you aren't wrong. I studied Spanish. I'll be damned if I could carry on a conversation. |

But I have read in depth about the net law they want, they just want more regulations on high usage or so they say. Did you ever think how Youtube or Facebook has impacted our lives, do you think that they would have happened if net neutrality was in place? More regulation on the net is a bad thing, it will not help us, we have to adapt to the change in the net, not the other way around. THeir are pros and cons to everything, I don't like this and I don't think what they propose is completely thought out as the internet is ever changing, how do you control what the free wifi hotspot give out in bandwidth? Reagan ended the Iran crisis, now under Barry, Iran is building a nuke. You can pick and choose the things that Reagan did as good or bad, but the economy was better off after he was done, People had jobs. And nobody threatened us. Right now, the local state governments are laying off cops and firemen and the Barry in charge is increasing the size of the government, increasing the size of regulations putting a strangle hold on small business , I live in California, I've seen what more regulations do to business in this state, they move to Nevada. |

Why don't you explain where my cracker ass is wrong? or are you looking at your cliff notes? |
Internet has been an open network, which works on the principle of net neutrality, whether or not it should be regulated like the other mass media is a matter of debate. Today there exist several laws to curb issues like child pornography and many other illegal activities over the internet. However, there are people who believe that a complete regulation is needed for the world wide web. There are two sides to this argument. Here are some of the prominent pros and cons of Internet regulation:
Pros of Internet Regulation A stringent internet regulation can help to curb the innumerable illegal activities over the net. Internet regulation will also help to prevent the large number of financial frauds, phishing, identity thefts, credit card thefts and many other illegal activities, which are possible because of the unregulated and unrestrained Internet activities. Although there exist several laws about child pornography or prosecutions of pedophiles, these issues are still rampant on the Internet. Internet regulation will also mean stringent policies over unjustified defamation. Cons of Internet Regulation A complete takeover by the government or even other telecommunication giants can lead to violation of net neutrality and will dampen effectiveness of this medium. It will be against net neutrality principle and will allow certain websites to limit their content to paid customers. Internet regulation will also tend to curb the freedom of expression, which is perhaps one of the most conspicuous factors that are instrumental in the success and popularity of this medium. For years the Internet has been an open source of information. A stringent regulation policy will mean limited access to the extensive source of information. |

Here you go : "Net Neutrality is the guiding principle that preserves the free and open Internet. Net Neutrality means that Internet service providers may not discriminate between different kinds of content and applications online. It guarantees a level playing field for all Web sites and Internet technologies. Net Neutrality is the reason the Internet has driven economic innovation, democratic participation and free speech online. It protects the consumer's right to use any equipment, content, application or service without interference from the network provider. With Net Neutrality, the network's only job is to move data -- not to choose which data to privilege with higher quality service. " This effects you and he is trying to protect you.its got to kill you. lol |
I guess I just don't want the FCC to have any more power than they already have, I'm tired of all the new regulations that have been piled on the American people.
Remember as kids when we rode in the back of a pick up, I got a fucking $55 ticket for having a kid in the back of mine driving down my street to a friends house |
Wait for republicans to get back to controlling the government so they can outlaw porn and you'll be out of a job. Just remember that ;)

And I don't want more regulations piled on by the government, I don't trust them, they will get their foot in the door and there will be more taxes piled on us to pay for them |
Also, you won't be too happy when net neutrality is done away with and then comcast decides to block all your sites.... because they can
