I would highly recommend Jay-Rock. he's in LA and meets your requirements. He's the best. :)

Jay-Rock is very very good. I can not say I have yet to see any video by him that didnt get me wet, excellent photographer as well.

Jim Powers is the best videographer hands down.

He has won director of the year and is in the AVN Hall of Fame.

Videographer is only as good as your budget. People hamstring on price and in turn we lower the standard for locations, talent, makeup. It truely means it in this biz when you get what you pay for. Jay Rock is good, Jim Powers is good, I am good, Just Dave is Good. Its all about what you give us to work with. My 2 cents. All of the above has survived in this biz til now which means alot.

I agree with Joe that there are a lot of good guys in the biz that are still going strong. Some of us are more experienced in different niches then others so choosing the right producer is pretty important. Its not about who is the best but what works for the client and what type of budget they have.

The bottom line is that anyone who is begging for work in these "Photographer/Videographer wanted" threads probably isn't getting much work.

And why aren't they getting much work? That, as Hamlet asked himself, is the question.

I can personally guarantee that all of these guys are really good. But we all will start to suck ass when you try and negotiate an exclusive B/B/G anal scene with Alexis Texas, shot on an exotic location for $1200.



And booking 10 scenes and paying up front doesn't get you a lower price.:2 cents:

i have yet to find out why there should be a price difference nowadays where everyone has a HD cam anyways.

location, the girl, the guy, the type of action, how long, matching pics or not - that's what makes the price. not if i switch my cam to SD or HD. :2 cents:

At least ive never pretended to be someone im not Simon...Nina..Everette and sold same content as exclusive dozens of tiomes....and left the industry dozens of times.

you know i see these big names, fancy sets/locations well lit sets but some douche is shooting and not getting any angles.
shit, any idiot can learn how to dial in the camera and light a set but only talented shooters know the good angles and have a natural feel for composition, they gotta be able to shoot from the hip and cant be afraid to be laying on the floor shooting various angles, need strong steady arms to hold camera still.
there are few shooters here with these qualifications.

Sounds like I need to take lessons from you. :)
