MojoHost AVN Show Data Center Tours, Sign-Up & More
 

MojoHost, the industry leader in hosting, is pleased to announce that it will be returning to Hollywood, FL, August 5-8, 2010 for the AVN Show (formerly the Internext Expo tradeshow). This year it will continue its tradition by providing tours of its industry leading technology at the Terremark NAP of the Americas datacenter located in Miami, FL. This is a rare opportunity to see restricted areas of one of the world's most significant datacenters while also getting an inside look at MojoHost's infrastructure. Anyone who is interested in taking the tour will be transported from the Westin Diplomat Hotel to the datacenter and back, in style and with plenty of refreshments.

There will be TWO tours this year that you can sign-up for. Space is limited so you will want to sign-up fast. The tours are on Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 @1:00pm (meet at 12:45pm in the lobby).

This tours are open to ANYONE regardless of whether you are a past, present or future part of the MojoHost family. Passport or government issued ID is absolutely required for tours, NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. For details and to sign up please contact Corey Silverstein directly by email [email protected]. Good god, working on the top systems must be difficult. All of the cabs in our datacenter are 42U

It's quite dizzying on a ladder servicing things on a 10' rack... We have some cabinets there but tend to prefer the tall racks. Since they are able to cool things properly at our high density, this allows for easier management of cables (etc).


I look forward to the tours this year! 4th year in a row, hundreds through and not a single one ever disappointed - even those that said in advance they had "seen it all".

Please tell me you're not getting a big dick on the power due to the more 'green' efficiency of the new hardware. Man, I remember running a single 30A back in the day costing almost more than it was worth.

I want a private tour since I live a few min away.

I really enjoyed the tour last year. Well worth the couple of hours!

i wish i was goign to this again. to forget my ID and hang out with the bus driver

Lots of people already signed up, please email Corey as instructed to make it on the list! As for the private tour, that is certainly possible however I would prefer to include you within this semi-private tour. The tours have a 1:4 ratio of Terremark employees present for security. In this group size, it's somewhere between a 1:5 and 1:10 MojoHost operator (CTO/CEO/COO) to tour guest ratio as well.

The Mojohost servers are housed in one the the country's most secure data centers and the air conditioned building was a nice break from the heat too :pimp
